So I'm looking at getting a GPS and Staples has the Magellan Roadmate 1200 on sale for $130. Anyone know anything about it? Do you have to pay for map updates or are they downloadable or not available at all? (I've seen various things online) I'm not looking for anything fancy schmancy, just something to get me from here to there. And for this

it all depends on what you are going to use it for.

i SWEAR by garmin for their product and customer service.

do you want something hand held? or some kind of automotive navigational system?

Just basic getting around. I'm moving to VA in May and have no CLUE where I'm going. Something simple that will get me from point a to point b....nothing fancy. It would be for the car.
