A little bit about LewisI thought this link might interest some of you. It comes from the blog of Barney James, an actor who played one of the German terrorists in Close Quarters. I came across it a couple of days after Lewis died and have only just rediscovered it ( Read more... )

I know, I can't get enough about his life and I'm really looking forward to his autobiography.

Thanks for that.

Very nice, I'd not seen that before - thanks! (Though I wish he hadn't felt the need to add in the negative bits about MS - why be snidey when you're writing a nice thing...?)

Yeah, I know. Maybe it's a bit to do with knowledge is power and demonstrating that you're in with the in crowd and 'I know things you don't know'? I really don't know. Something I've noticed, too, from the behind the scenes blu ray images, is that (IMO)MS looks much more relaxed, happy, having a laugh and clubbable than the rumours would have you believe, when I'd always thought it was *just* LC who was like that. They've been likened to The Beatles and I could really see MS as Paul, the cheery diplomat, and LC as John Lennon, the more wary, cynical Liverpudlian.

Thank you for the link, it is always interesting to get this, er, accidental look at what was gappening at the time. Like a time window)

And I read your comment about the impression MS makes on behind the scene pictures and it made me smile and nod too :)

I'm so glad you see it, too! It really struck me how much he looks as if he's enjoying himself. Glad you enjoyed the link.

Thanks for the link! An interesting peak into Lew's life. And I agree with your comments on MS in the blu-rays. He's either enjoying himself or he is a much better actor than he's been given credit for! In my perfect little world, they'd worked out their differences about Lew playing Bodie and got on quite well while working on the show. [oops - just sat on my rose-colored glasses! *g*]

I think that's about right. They might have had a few ups and downs along the way but I'm sure that's pretty typical for two men with strong characters, sometimes working 14 hours a day under pressure and caring about what they do. I think they would have been pretty professional about it......
