I see it's from 1977, so it's not the age! More the country? ;-)
I think the singer was American (she was killed in a car crash), so I don't know how exposed you were to American culture in the 70s?
And I'm really pleased you've managed to find something new to read! I'm finding it hard not to use stories I've used before, especially if I'm sticking to online stories which seems the fairest thing to do. And yes, Rebelcat is a very fine writer with just the right amount of humour in some of her stories.
Thank you for new stories and a new song. I know some of the stories, but there are a handful I don't know yet. And now I know what I will read in the weekend.
Thank you for the lovely combination.
Oh, and the song made me think about snailbones and her problem with the telephone men. *g*
Such a great selection of story passages and images. Who knew the lads spent so much time on the phone?! *g* I particularly love Rebelcat's and the image to go with, and Maddalia's one. P.S. I can't see the link to Maddalia's story, though. Would love to read it. Thank you! x
They *did* use the phone a lot, didn't they?! Especially Doyle. And the radio. Sorry about the missing link, I though I'd checked them all but thanks very much for providing it.
Really glad you've enjoyed the post and thanks very much for letting me know!
Oh this was fun! I liked how you picked the phone was a theme and ran with it! Good job! I've never heard the song before but it fit. :) Thanks so much for the entertainment!
I'm so pleased you liked the theme (I was quite pleased with it myself!!! Especially as I've always liked the song.) But I'm really surprised you haven't heard the song before as I think she was American and it was an international hit (I think). Anyway, entertainment is *good* and I think we could all do with a bit of fun.
As always, thanks very much for your lovely comment!

And I'm just having a lot of fun with your post!
I love everything from Rebelcat - and the last author is completely new to me.
But I'm sitting outside and it's getting to dark to write...

Hahah! Good point, I hadn't thought of that. Hopefully the telephone men will 'accommodate' Snaibones just as our singer was 'accommodated'!
So pleased you've found some new stories to read and thanks very much for letting me know you like the post.
