my puppy likes to bring me her empty food bowl as a reminder that I have to constantly feed her rather small body. She also just learned to bark and is very proud of her new skill. The barking isn't quite annoying yet because it is still a puppy bark. You can definitely tell she's a tyke. We're still not sure how big our "black lab" will get since she is an unidentifiable mix. Her brother is growing considerabley faster than her so we just might have a small/medium dog on our hands.
Hope the housetraining goes well - we are on week two and we still have the occasional accident - I would say about one a day.

Hahaha... I know, why can't puppies let us know they have to pee... as much as they let us know they want food! Winnie sits in her dish and whines at me when she's thirsty... I just hate giving her a full bowl of water, when it just ends up staining the white carpet (yes, big mistake. but we didn't choose white carpet, it was brand new when we bought the house)

Today, Geoff gave Brian a card for the vet where you two take your puppy. We have to take winnie there tomorrow. The SPCA requires a vet visit within 10 days of addoption.

fun when she's not biting my legs up! haha. Are you doing a bunch of nursery planning now? That must be so exciting. I always think of how i'm going to decorate the babies room.... and i'm not even pregnant! =]

Aww, how sweet!! Yes, I'm planning on making the crib bedding and such. And we found the crib and changing table/dresser that we like. Of course, we're not buying anything until I'm further along just cuz I don't wanna jinx anything!

Haha, aw, yeah, I feel your pain! I'm still working with this little one! He is 8 weeks today! Very time consuming! He has gotten much better since last week, and luckily he is so small, he couldn't get into anything even if he wanted to! Good luck with it! Are u using potty pads to train him?

Yes, I feel like i have no life! My husband thinks I just hang around all day and that having a puppy is a joy! Right... haha. I'm not using potty pads... but she has a crate that we put her in at night, and it seems to be working pretty well. I just looked at your puppy, he's such a cutie!

Congrats on the new puppy!!! They are literally like having a baby. I had my daughter just turned one and we got a puppy and I asked myself what was I thinking it was a nightmare. He ended up taking a plane ride from Hawaii to Oklahoma to go live with his auntie Sheri!! Aparently he is doing well and loves his new home. he's been there for a year already. I miss him from time to time but we are cat people.

Brian thinks this is going to be good experience for having kids... haha. I can't imagine having young children and a puppy. We were at the SPCA and a woman with two out of control kids wanted to adopt a puppy.... i was thinking wow, that dog will not be trained. Sometimes i just want to send the puppy to work with my husband!
