I like it when I'm able to dress up and feel like a girl. I like it when I walk out of my room dressed up and John says, "wow! You look great!" I like that I get to do this once a year. Last night was the Helen Hayes Awards in DC. For those of you who don't know what these are, it's basically the DC theatre awards named after Helen Hayes.

Which guy from Quantum Leap!? Al or Sam?!!!

I didn't end up caring much about not going, but it really sucked trying to work scenes without Cornwall and Oswald. Ian didn't want to change the rehearsal, so we did the best that we could.

I'm still disappointed that The Beard of Avon wasn't nominated and that columbinus didn't win any of the awards that it was up for. Aside from that, eh, whatever. There will be other big awards ceremonies to attend.

I'm not sure which guy it was cause I don't really know Quantum Leap, but the guy's name is Scott Bakula. (PS - I just looked it up and he plays Sam.)
I also thought it was funny because Peggy Yates presented some awards with some other woman, and the first thing the other woman said to Peggy was, "Hey Peggy? What's a MILF? Because I heard someone say that we were MILFs." And I laughed because all the guys during Oliver called Peggy a MILF. I love it!

Straight Man Alert: I have a date on Friday night with I a guy I met at the Award Ceremony. Call me or talk to LT for details. Straight men do exist in theater...they just have to be in Management I guess.

Or in Production... I just think my gaydar was broken that night. Or maybe it was temporarily overloaded and that's why I couldn't tell. There were just too many gay people in the room at the same time.
