I went in to pick up my paycheck from Walgreens, and my general manager was still there.  She had done a review with the head photo specialist, who was on a probationary period for having low sales, not keeping up with the maintenance, and not promoting sales.  The Head specialist decided to step down, and will be working evening and weekend hours ( Read more... )

I've talked everything over with my bosses, and I will be starting at Walgreens full time on the 26th of February.  Meanwhile, at least for the 90 days it takes for my insurance at the Wal to begin, I will work for Sunrise every other weekend, and office hours for Lois on Wednesdays.  So I should reliably have every other weekend off, and will be ( Read more... )

Well, I've made some big changes when it comes to work.  I was offered a full time position at Walgreens, and I've decided to take it.  Initially it will be a pay cut, but has the possibility of very quickly becoming an increase in pay from what I'm getting now.  Part of this will be that I'm guaranteed 40 hour a week with a set schedule, wheras my ( Read more... )

yeah so I forgot to talk about the main reason I wanted to post - Pandora.com is awesome!  Check it out!

you pick a song or artist and Pandora will analyze the song and pick music by other artists that you will enjoy - and not just from the same genre of music.  Its really quite fun and a great way to discover new music groups.

We got presents from Bonnie's trip to Thailand & Cambodia, and she handed out gifts she brought back for all of us.  We got to see a bunch of the pictures she took and hear stories about her trip.

As usual, my life has been busy but mostly uninteresting.  Working a lot (nothing new).  I've been filling in as the activities assistant on Fridays and Saterdays while their regular assistant is on maternity leave, and its been really fun to revisit that, and meet some of the residents at Sunrise that I don't know well because they do their own ( Read more... )

Yeah, so I'm addicted to the Scissor Sisters now.  Ms. Eliason, its all your fault, and I thank you!  I also am incredibly amused that my favorite song of theirs at the moment is called "Laura" :)  I have also been listening to a lot of the Juliana Hatfield Three, and They Might Be Giants.  Weird shit, but good.
