Written by one of the Fairford Poets (see www.fairfordpeacewatch.com), this is one of many lovely tributes I've seen in the last few days.... Enjoy! xx
always on our wavelengths
the appeal of John Peel
surpassed orange peel
as zest he put into our lives
rightly remembered
by musicians and thinkers
he battled musak
was Four anti-dumbing down
and that, dear Peeple,
is the Home Truth
Tony Hillier has a shot at a mini-tribute to Peely - John Peel who died aged a young 65 on 26 October 2004 tony.hillier@ntlworld.com

Oooh thank you :o)
I'm revisiting LJ again and having a wee browse around everyone's favourite blogs. Any big suggestions? Today I've been busy doing websites so might link my LJ to one of them, inspiration is easier when the technology works and in front of a roaring fire, imho.
Left the lovely Dawdon village yesterday to the sound of my neighbour sawing wood for said fire, so I think there'll probably be a big pile of logs waiting when I get home :o)
"'I'm a great believer in getting your priorities wrong, setting your sights low, so that you don't go through your whole life frustrated that you never became prime minister." John Peel 1939-2004.
