From today's health care forum in Raleigh, a small business owner posed the following question:
What current long term social program, created and run by the government, should we look to as a model of success and one that we as taxpayers should feel confident that a new gov't run health care system would be better than the current system in place. ( Read more... )

There was the true light of conviction in her eyes, even though the only supporting statements she made to the claim that he was doing a good job were that he still drinks beer and "never forgot where he came from."
People truly don't care about politics. They think things are better just because they have a "cooler" president. Fact is, if you're not effective, you're not. It doesn't matter if it's religion or racial pride that you cash in on: when people are judging your performance on your personal values, there's a problem. I'm getting the sneaking suspicion that sycophancy is the American way.
