OTHERS COMMENT:"As for Jesus drinking wine. It also says in the Bible not to be drunk. You never know exactly how much is going to make you drunk, so why risk it. Also, wine in the Bible was actually unfermented. So it wasn't alcohol ( Read more... )

Hey, reason all you want. Do you really, really think, honestly, that God thinks it's okay to be drunk and smoke? ... Honestly? Have you ever heard that verse that goes along the lines of "even Satan himself can twist the Bible around to make it say whatever he wants it to"? Do you remember the story when Jesus was in the dessert fating for 40 days, and Satan tempted him, quoting the Bible and twisting the words around?

Enh. Hey, I was just raising some questions, it's between you and God. There's only one thing you have to do to get to Heaven and I think we probably agree on that what thing is, and having a perfect lifestyle isn't it, so no worries, right? But, Chris, do we agree that smoking and drinking can be/are harmful to your body? So you have to wonder, even if God permits them, wouldn't you want to take the best care possible of the body God gave you? I mean, I think sometimes people think that Christians have to follow a whole bunch of rules to get into Heaven, but that's not it at all, right? Christians, at least I, try to live the best life possible because they love God and are grateful for Him saving them, so they want to make him happy, right?
