Kennedy really stole Warhol's thunder......

Fast forward: 2006.
James Brown dies Christmas morning.
2 days later Gerald Ford dies.....
Gerald Ford really upstaged James Brown.......

HUUUUGE difference: warhol wasn't killed. besides, his cult-ish following magnified exponentially after his death.

as for 2006, hoopla is always bigger for dead presidents. january 2nd would never be named a holiday for james brown (sadly).

I dont think I wrote that Warhol died, merely that he was shot, and that Kennedy took him off the news. Just as I think the the death of Ford took away some press from James Brown.
