It sucks, it sucks, it sucks. faith_believer September 2 2005, 22:01:52 UTC
I've been reading up on a lot of it also, and I had to reread a lot of paragraphs on news websites that tell what's going on, it's horrible, and it's too unbelievable to be true, but it is. I can't believe they waited so long to send people in to help, and the biggest thing that pisses me off is how people are actually raping and assaulting the survivors that they are among, what the hell is wrong with some people, why does something like that actually happen? I mean you're suppose to band together when something horrible happens, fight for your survival, and hope to get out alive, you shouldn't have to deal with survivors among you wanting to steal things from you or rape you, man, I just can't get over that. Something better has to be done with all this, what a big mess that our government is being lazy to handle. This better be a wake up call for our president and just for the humanity our government needs to have more of, I can't believe this is as out of control as it is, and the sad part is that it's actually happening, this is ( ... )

SO here's the deal. Hurricane Katrina was a "National Disaster." It's not the President's fault, the government's fault, or anyone else's for that matter. Point number two: I know for a fact that FEMA/MEMA/ and the rest of our government are doing EVERYTHING they can to get supplies and emergency rescues out to people. This isn't a "wake up and everything be okay" situation. I have compassion and I truly am sorry for the people who are stuck in New Orleans and on the Coast, but don't for a second put blame on our country and government for not "reacting" fast enough for the people who didn't even budge when warning was given about the hurricane and evacuations were made. I understand not all people had a chance to get out, but most did. So really that's a dead argument ( ... )

It is really pitiful. I mean I do have a heart for people...but I'm here to have a voice for the animals. That is what i do. I think eventually everything will be ok. I really hope. Just pray.
