Computer Problem

My computer is a bit odd. It's an Acer with a 100 GB hard drive, segmented into two separate drives. I recently got a little reminder near the clock that disk space is slow. So I go to the disk defragmenter to hopefully get some more space, thinking that was the problem ( Read more... )

yeah rick says all you need to do is move some stuff from the full drive to the not full drive and you will be able to defrag. hope that works :)

oh you don't know how sorry. Here's what you do: find 8 gigs of stuff like your wedding pictures or music or anything, right-click on them and hit cut and then go to your d drive, and right-click and hit paste to move them to that drive. don't worry it won't delete your pictures until you actually paste them somewhere, so you don't have to worry about losing anything.

Ok. I know how to do this on my work computer, but the computer at home is set up differently, or it just overly complicated. I'll try this when I get home. Thanks!

What a weird way to do that.

You know you can just select the files and drag them from one drive to the other, right?
