What I remember is poisoned by paranoia and madness.

[...What?

Oh, wait, Omega's madness and paranoia, right.]

I see. ...Do you want to talk about it?

[Omega shows ten kinds of 'I do not want to talk about it' on his face. There's a pause.] Do you?

If you don't, why would I? It's your [madness. Wait, no-] ...choice.

[AH!!!]

Why do you ask?

I-

Well I was under the impression that-

Your leadership was exceptional as a revolutionary, but without a war to fight you weren't the pinnacle of authority. Peace isn't something acceptable to you. You always needed the challenge.

[Nryyyyyrrrr.]

So it's been said.

So they say I did badly after the revolution. I was too violent.

[He narrows his eyes.] Do they say anything more specific about that?

Your policies became increasingly dangerous. They set a precedent that could have been disastrous for Gallifrey. [That has actually turned out disastrous, despite his better wishes.]

You divided our schools, funded research to create objects that caused nothing but disaster for other civilizations, you very rarely considered anyone outside of those that you favoured, when the obligation of a leader is to account for the best interests of everyone.

You're a general, and a scientist, Rassilon. You were best at that.

[Oh, you!] I always had the best interest of our people in mind! Who spread the ridiculous notion that I played favourites?

The division was to make things more manageable. And what objects would those be? Would you rather our technology never advanced? Don't even start complaining about my weapons, those were made because of a war.

And most people seem to think of me as primary being a politician.
