So this week/weekend was totally a blasty.
Wednesday we drove up to the lake and we were very unprepared, which is completely not like us at all. We didn't even go grocery shopping before we left, so we had to stop on our way. So then we went and dropped all our gear off at the house and changed and whatever and then went to the fair to see Dierks Bentley and LeAnn Rimes. Dierks was kind of amazing and I have a giant crush on him still. Probably more so now than before. We were super dancey(?) and sang really loud. LeAnn Rimes was really good, but her songs are king of boring. She was so super skinny. Sar was like, "Eat a burger!" So anyway, then we met some 18 year old boyfriends who were sitting in front of us. We said if they brought the boat we'd bring the beer, but we were totally lying to them and it didn't work out in the end. Darnegg...
So then on Thursday (it was totally 105 degrees that day) we got up and got ready and went down to the lake. We met some 17 year old boyfriends. We don't actually know how old they were, but we still referred to them as our 17 year old boyfriends. They were kind of ridiculous. They walked all the way around in the dirt from their dock just to talk to us. They liked to listen to R. Kelly really loud in their boat and dance and sing. Then they would turn it up really loud when they were driving by us in the boat because obviously that made them cool. They invited us to come party at their lot to which Rachel replied "We have a house." So good for us. Anyway, we pretty much just hung out down there for a good part of the day. Then we packed up and went back to the house because Rachel had to leave (so sad for us!) and Sar and I had to go to the fair to see the Bangles with Laura and Heather. The Bangles were totally boring and dumb. Lucky for us it was a free show. So Sarah and I left that before they were done and went on a quest to find me my cowboy hat. I was so excited to find one. It's kind of my new most favorite thing even if it is kind of too big (curse this small noggin). But who knew a free hat would be so great? Then after talking to Meghan and Natalie for awhile about tickets, Sarah and I got a major bonus. We got to have $80 Rascal Flatts tickets for $20! We were so stoked. So we got to see Jason Aldean and Rascal Flatts that night. Jason Aldean is kind of my favorite, so fun. Rascal Flatts were really good, but they liked to talk a lot and play a guitar for like 20 hours in between songs. The people around us were boring, but Sar and I stood up and sang and danced anyway. Then we went back to the house and crashed (not like a car crash...), we had a long day.
Friday we got up and went down to the lake. Hung out, made fun of our 17 year old boyfriends, read trashy magazines, the usual lake stuff. Then we decided that it was too hot and went back to the house. It was 106 and sometimes even if you're at the lake that's too hot. So we got ready and went into town and picked up Laura and went to dinner. The waiter was kind of silly and kept staring at us and tried to make me eat a shrimp thing that I was so busy for. Then laura came back with us to have a slumber party. We took her down to see the dock and we saw the pond or something and we ate lots of junk food and drank, but not really that much. I think my favorite parts of the whole weekend were the epic golf cart rides to and from the lake. Sarah had to wave to every single person we passed and then we did it together and it was so silly for me.
Saturday we went down to the lake, but our boyfriends weren't there so Lo didn't get to know about the goodness. We left around noon though because we had to go back and get ready to go home. We packed up the car and stuff and went on an adventure to try to find stickers. We failed at the mission. You'd think someone at the lake would have a sticker of the dragon, but nope. So then we dropped Laura off and drove home. Then we had to get ready to Fiesta it up with everyone. We went to Joe's and all smashed in like sardines at a table. We were going to go to Tonic, but we were busy to pay the cover. $30 for guys and $20 for girls just to get in to pay more to drink at a place we can go to every other day for free = lame. So we went to the boys' house and hung out there instead.
I feel that I should have had an epic hangover today, but I didn't at all and I was kind of excited about it. Then today we had a family bbq thing at the beach. Good times except I don't love to smell like a bbq. I had to be busy for that and left early though and now I get to go to Anthony's game. I heart me some hockey!
That's all I have to say about that.
The End.
