Whoops
So it was totally my intention to clean and pack in preparation for Jacklyn's visit this upcoming weekend.
Instead... I did this...
Yesterday, i went to see
21.The Raven - I love John Cusack. Halfway through the movie there were tornado sirens so they had to pause it and we had to go hang out in the lobby. The movie was alright, not bad, but not extremely good either, but I enjoyed it. I like Poe, so that was an added bonus.
Then today.... upon recommendation from a friend I started watching the extended Swedish versions... (which come in at 3 hours and 5 minutes a pop...

24. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest
These films are excellent. I don't mind reading this many subtitles, I somehow end up doing it fairly frequently as of late (what with my bollywood/hindi kick a few weeks ago, and anime binges). There are parts of the first movie in particular that are just plain difficult to watch. I will eventually watch the American version of the first movie, but it'd be hard to do better. Maybe now I can go back and attempt to read the books? Who knows, I've got plenty of other reading to get through first.
Anyway, I didn't do a whole lot this weekend, and that was a welcome change, I really do need to get on the packing and cleaning thing, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it today. The cleaning part WILL be done by Thursday evening as Jacklyn will be here Friday afternoon (and I'll be at work until I leave to get her from the airport). I'm excited, but my apartment is a crazy mess with me being me and then boxes and all sorts of crazy on top of it.
So, tomorrow is the home inspection, so I'll be doing that in the afternoon. I'm crossing my fingers that nothing serious comes up with it. I want things to go as smooth as possible with all of this. I don't want to be too stressed (HA! HAHAH!)
Also, I applied for a job in another department at my company. A lateral move, but to a department with a lot of new stuff going on, hopefully opportunities to learn, advance, that sort of thing. I want to feel like I'm going somewhere instead of just being where I'm at. Plus, the guy I'd be working with the most is super fun and loves Mexican food. I will now be totally destroyed if I do not get the job. ;-)
Anyway, that's all, nothing terribly interesting, just sorta waiting for the fun stuff!
