While I think Amber was a good starting point for me (I only had her for 3 years or something?) I don't think I feel her as good of a role model as I view the ballet teachers I've had since her. She's too much of a performer and I don't agree with her strictness or her weirdly too-friendly attitude with students. I have a lot of beef about her but I won't go into it, hah. Let's just say I view Emily as a much better, more mature teacher.

Well I definitely agree that Amber is good for challenging/being viewed as a good performer. But I guess what my main point is that she isn't what I'd ideally view as a good teacher for people that are taking dance for the sake of dancing rather than becoming professional...if that make sense
