You intentionally did poorly on your Potions OWL? I am hurt. Such poor academic performance could easily be enough to warrant detention.

I'm sure they couldn't have been too bad. I've seen the state of Longbottom's once. It completely desensitized me...

Agreeing with a Malfoy is perfectly fine and normal.
