Well, I stayed here at the school for Christmas this year. Most of Gryffindor house stayed, it seems. Parents felt the school might be a safer place and didn't want to risk us travelling since we can't apparate yet. Not that I mind, since Ginny is staying, too

Hey, Seamus. Merry Christmas! I'd totally be up for a house party. Unfortunately, there is no partying here. Did you all have a great time at the Feast? I wish Gran would have let me stay.

Yes, the Feast was excellent! The house elves outdid themselves with holiday treats. I actually needed to brew up some heartburn potion - I ate far too many of the sweets. You were missed. Everybody asked where you were.

Did you get my present? I thought you would like a book on native Irish plants and their uses.

I got it Seam, thanks!! It's great. I'm on the third chapter. There are some fascinating plants in Ireland, for example.... ah yes, I can see your eyes glazing over from here.

Yes, they were glazing a little bit. Herbology is not my strongest subject. Me mum keeping telling me I should pay more attention, like you as a matter of fact.

And YES, that book on ancient Celtic runes is PERFECT!! I've been really working hard on my NEWT levels in them for me mum. She wants to teach me the family trade once I'm done with school. She'll be most happy I've studied up on this stuff.
