First of all the icon above has nothing to do with Columbus or Zombieland. I have no idea where or what it came from either.
I just effing love it.
Columbus Ohio is not this character's real name. It's merely where Columbus was originally from in the movie and ended up being called that from another character who didn't want to share names.
Anyhow... In Columbus's world the zombieapocalypse started from a mutated version of Mad Cow Disease which mutated into Mad Human Disease and then... well zombies. That's what happens when someone eats an undercooked burger at a Quick Stop. The end of human life as we know it.
Except for Columbus. He spent most of the descent into hell in his own apartment playing World of Warcraft the same time. (I have it on good word his online persona was named "Ohtararanel") Yep! Columbus is a big old nerd. A nerd with anti-social tendencies, irritable bowel syndrome and a touch of OCD. So how does a wimply little nerd end up surviving the hordes of unending zombies?
Well, he gets a little help from his friends that he hooks up in the movie. But for the most part he survives because of the rules. What are the rules? Well, you'll have to wait and see them in class. Or watch the movie.
Columbus will be coming to Fandom after the events of the movie. He'll be getting cut off from the rest of his friends and end up on the causeway. Why?
Well it turns out that Fandom is the zombie free zone that the survivors have been talking about in the United States of Zombieland.
Except for Caritas, of course. Yeah, there won't be issues there...
And on a final note, I think it's important to note that I am not a fan of horror movies. Especially gory, gross and disgusting zombie movies. However, Zombieland? Absolute fun. I highly recommend it.
