you can't blame yourself for something like this, it's not what you do--it's who they are. there are all kinds of people out there and maybe you've just been associating yourself with the same kind of girl. but don't lose hope--there are better kinds of people out there, people who will really care about you and not be selfish. and instead of feeling like you're missing out on something about high school and what everyone else is doing..maybe you should just appreciate that you're different and not like all those fakes.
