Summary: When a beautiful guy enters Tora's life, he's smitten. Unfortunately Shou has a secret and he doesn't want to share it

Tora sat at his desk at work. staring at the computer keys without even blinking, so many things were on his mind that he couldn't even focus on working. His trance was broken by a hand waving in front of his face.
"Hey! Earth to Tora" He looked up to see his co-workers and good friends Reita and Uruha stood beside him. Reita was quite a well built guy, blonde spiky hair and a bad ass kind of air around him. Uruha on the other hand was slim and slinky with beautiful and almost feminine features.
"What's wrong with you today?" Reita asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Sorry" Tora sighed "I've just been distracted"
"hum, that makes two of you" The blonde snorted, causing Tora to cock a brow.
"Rei, shut up" Uruha hissed, jabbing him in the ribs.
"Whats going on?" Tora questioned, It wasn't unusual for his friends to act strange but it did often leave him curious.
"Well," Reita smirked, leaning on his desk "Our lovely Uruha here, has been sneaking around with a certain head of department"
"What" Tora gasped "You've been fucking Aoi?"
Uruha Frowned and punched Reita in the arm harshly."I told you to keep that quiet".
"Sorry sorry" He laughed, turning back to Tora. "Anyway, what's wrong with you?"
The raven haired male simple shrugged, "My boyfriend is just having some trouble right now, I feel awful that there's nothing I can do"

Uruha sat down on the desk, giving him an apathetic smile.
"Try not to trouble yourself about it Tora" he said patting his shoulder "Whatever it is, I'm sure he just needs you to be there for him"
"I guess you're right"
Uruha picked up a stray magazine that lay on the desk, flicking through it.
"Just try and do something romantic, perhaps something big and bold, y'know make him feel special" It was at that moment that Tora saw the advert on the back of the magazine. A photo of a smiling couple huddled up on a couch, smiling at each other, It was a small detail he noticed though, A small picture frame in the background with the words "Home sweet home". Suddenly an idea jumped into his head, causing him to leap to his feet.
"Uruha, you're a genius" He grinned giving him a playful kiss. "I need to run out, cover for me" He called rushing out of the office.
Uruha turned to Reita, with a smirk. "Told you I was smart"
The blonde simply laughed "Yeah but you're still fucking your boss"

"Ah You're here" Tora chimed, letting Shou into the apartment and giving him a peck on the lips. "I have something really big to talk to you about"
"Okay then, what is it?" Shou asked, but Tora simply dragged him towards the living room where he pushed him onto the couch.
"Right, I've been think about this all day" He said excitedly, grabbing something from a folder sat on the coffee table. "I know you might think it's too soon but I really think you should consider it"
By this point, Shou was utterly confused, tilting his head ad looking at him as if he'd grown another head.
"Tora, what on earth are you talking about?"
The elder revealed what he was holding, a drawing, a bad drawing, of a stick-man Tora and Shou, sat on a sofa together, with the words "Tora and Shou's home sweet home" Written in big red characters.
"Tadaaaaaa, what do you think?"
Shou stared at the paper, then at Tora, then back at the paper.
"I think you shouldn't become and artist for a living.."
"Nooo" The elder scoffed "I mean, the subject"
A pause.
"You want us to move in together?" he asked, an unreadable expression fixed on his face."What's brought this on?"
"Well, I just thought it would be good for the both of us to live together, but not just one of us move into the other's apartment, I mean, get a new place, entirely ours"

It was a big step for them, and Shou really wasn't sure about it. He excused himself and headed out to the balcony for some thinking time.
Tora was starting to feel a bit worried, after an hour of his lover being shut outside, he realized that he shouldn't have asked.
"Tora" Shou said entering the room once more "I've been thinking"
He perched himself on the coffee table, opposite Tora.
"Perhaps it would be good for us to get an apartment together, I mean, we spend pretty much every night at each others apartment anyway, So I guess this'll just be another step in our relationship" He looked into Tora's eyes and smiled. It was sincere, he couldn't deny that he was worried about it but the feeling of excitement quickly replaced any negative feelings.
"I'd love us to get our own place" He beamed. Tora launched forward, the coffee table almost gave way under the weight of them both. Straddling his young lover, Tora smiled, it was a happy smile, one of his happiest in a long time.
"Are you totally sure about this?" He questioned, Shou told him that he was more than sure and suggested looking for places as soon as possible. To which Tora responded by kissing him sweetly.

A Take out pizza was ordered in celebration and the night was spent sprawling on each other and watching old alien movies. They fell asleep on the couch, wrapped up in each others embrace.

The next morning Tora had set off extra early for work so that he could search for a new place for them.
Shou on the other hand had gone out to the park since it was a beautifully sunny day. He bought some ice cream and sat on one of the swings. Despite the happy buzz that lingered from the night before, he couldn't help but feel horribly lonely whenever Tora left in the mornings. All of his friends were at work during the daytime, leaving him nothing to do except watch TV and go for walks. He tried to spice up his daily routine by going to old book shops , closing his eyes as he walked around the shop, fingers gliding along the spines until he stopped and purchased the book his fingers landed on. Some times it turned out to be an awful choice but other times he was so captured by the story that he searched for more by the author. Shou knew this wasn't exactly an eventful way of living life and he wanted nothing more than to something more exciting.
He sighed as he swung a little higher, gazing at the fluffy white clouds above him. Each swing sending him a little higher. The breeze flowing through his hair and cooling his skin. It was a nice feeling, well, until something got caught in his throat causing him to cough. He lost his grip on the swing chains and slipped off of the seat, landing on the ground with a thud. The wind was knocked from his lungs and his spine hurt. He tried to breathe but he simply couldn't.
His head was throbbing as he coughed, in an attempt to get air into his lungs. He saw someone looming over him, or was he perhaps starting to black out.
"Hey calm down honey" A voice said, kneeling down beside him. "Don't panic, just breathe with me"
Shou didn't know why, but the voice seemed soothing, he focused on that and tried to block out everything else. He felt himself being moved into a sitting position, his back resting against the owner of the voice and their hand resting on his chest.
"Breathe in, and out" Shou did as instructed, the stranger doing the same to get them synced. Eventually Shou felt the air flowing back into his lungs. When he was finally able to breathe simi-normally, the other came out from behind him and knelt beside him.
"Are you alright?"
Shou looked over, The person was a thin and tall male, a couple of piercings in his face and tattoo's covering his pale skin. He nodded, coughing lightly.
"C'mon, I'll take you to my shop and I'll just check you over" The man said kindly, helping him shakily to his feet. His knees felt wobbly so the other supported him as they walked.
"What's your name honey?" He asked
"Shou"
"Nice name, I'm Miyavi"

A moment or two later, they were inside of Miyavi's store. A music shop selling CDs, Vinyls and music books, quite fitting for someone of his appearance, Shou thought.
He was perched on a chair behind the counter As the taller male cleaned up the scrapes on his elbows and knees.
"You fell from quite a height, I'm impressed that you didn't knock yourself out" Miyavi sighed as he placed a band-aid over Shou's knee. "Hey are you okay?" He asked, noticing a little discomfort on the other's face.
Shou shrugged his shoulders slightly, "The back of My head is throbbing"
Miyavi got up, gently tilting Shou's head forward. He parted the hair to see a patch of crimson.
"Oh dear, you must have hit your head on something" He said, reaching for his first aid box on the counter, taking some antiseptic wash and a cotton pad. "It's bleeding just a tiiiny bit"
"I'm really Sorry about all of this" Shou blushed
"Don't worry about it" Miyavi laughed "I actually quite enjoy it, without sounding creepy"
Shou smiled, it wasn't everyday that you met such an outspoken person.
"Okay, just hold still, you got some grit in here" taking a pair of tweezers, he carefully extracted tiny shards of rock and dirt from the wound, trying his hardest not to hurt the smaller male.
"You're very gentle" Shou observed his lips almost curving into a smile.
Miyavi simply smirked "You wouldn't say that if you'd met my ex boyfriend" Shou couldn't help but tut and laugh at little at that. Miyavi applied some antiseptic wash and wrapped a small bandage around his head before sitting back down with a smile.

The shop was quiet, the odd customer coming in every so often, but nothing crazy. Shou wondered if it was even worth keeping a shop open for, it wasn't exactly like business was booming. Regardless, he found it strangely comfortable sitting with Miyavi and putting the world to rights. He hadn't just sat and talked about all sorts with someone for so long, it felt good. Miyavi was one of those people who just instantly made you smile, his cheerful demeanor and witty remarks were something he admired.
Shou was rather shocked when he had revealed that his main occupation wasn't running a music store, or trying to be a rock star like he had assumed, But rather that he was an intern at the hospital, training to be a doctor.
"It sucks that my only shop assistant quit last month, Its really hard for me to juggle shifts here and at the hospital, I often have to shut up shop or sacrifice sleep" He sighed.
Of course, that was what Shou needed, something to fill up the days with.
"well, I'm free, if you need someone to help out here then 'll be more than happy to" He offered. Miyavi's face lit up.
"Really?" He cried "That'd be awesome, it'd really take the pressure off" He got up and ran into the back for a few moments, returning with a clip board and pen.
"When are you free hon?" He asked. Shou shrugged.
"Free everyday"
"When can you start?"

Tora was busying himself with dinner, stirring the vegetable stew when he received a knock on the door. He knew it would be Shou. With a smile he paced towards the door and opened it.
As predicted, Shou stood in front of him with a warm smile on his face, a strange bandage wrapped around his head. Next to him however, stood a tall, overly tattooed male with his hand on the shorter's shoulder.
"Hey Shou" Tora said with a cocked brow.
"Sorry I got here late, I lost track of time" Shou smiled walking past him into the apartment, pulling the other man with him. With a sigh, Tora closed the door.
When he reached the living room, The stranger was seated on the sofa, while Shou was in the doorway of the kitchen removing his shirt.
"What's going on?" He asked, non to kindly.
"Oh, I spilt coffee on my shirt so I just need to grab a clean one" Shou called rushing into the bedroom, emerging a moment later with a fresh t-shirt on.
"Right" He nodded "Miyavi, this is my boyfriend Tora" He gestured towards the tiger, "Tora, this is Miyavi, as of today he's my new boss" He smiled.
"Boss, What?" Tora was simply confused at this point, looking between the two of them.
"Shou-chan here is going to be helping out at my music store from tomorrow, he's such a life saver" Miyavi smiled.
"I see" The elder hummed "Well, that's good then"
Shou grinned, clambering over the sofa. "I'm just gonna quickly call Pon and I'll be all yours" just as he reached the bed room, he leaned back "Miyavi want to have a word with you too"

With Shou out of the room, it just left the two raven haired men. Tora shot him a glance as he stood up and held out his hand.
"It's nice to meet you, Shou's told me all about you" Miyavi smiled.
Tora shook the offered hand, "Good things I hope"
"Nothing but praise I assure you. He adores the bones of you" Tora couldn't hold back the smile that tugged at the corners of his mouth. He suddenly remembered that he had left the vegetable stew on the stove. Gesturing for Miyavi to follow him to the kitchen. Luckily the stew was okay, he continued to stir it.
"Shou said that you wanted to talk to me" He mentioned.
"Oh yeah," Miyavi leaned on the counter slightly, looking at the other. " This morning, Shou had a small accident in the park"
Tora imminently stopped stirring, looking at Miyavi with a worried look in his eyes.
"It wasn't life threatening, he fell off the swing set. But he winded himself quite badly and hit his head on something" he sighed "I took him back to my shop and cleaned him up, kept my eye on him, he seems okay now though, but I'm still a little concerned that he might have a mild concussion or something."
Tora nodded, "Well, thank you for taking care of him. I appreciate it"
"If I can ask you to watch over him tonight, just to make sure everything is okay"
"I will".

Shou soon returned from the bedroom, Miyavi bid them goodbye and Tora served up the food. Sitting opposite his lover as they ate together.
"This is delicious Tora" Shou mewed as he shoved another spoonful into hi mouth. Tora couldn't help but laugh.
"Thanks" He smiled, it soon returned to a blank expression as he looked at the younger.
"Miyavi told me about your accident today" he said "You need to be more careful, you know I hate seeing you hurt"
Shou hung his head a little, looking down at the table.
"I'm sorry Tora, I didn't mean for it to happen" he mumbled. Tora simply sighed softly.
"Don't apologize, I just worry about you too much sometimes"
The room fell silent for a few moments, both just finishing their meal.

"Oh, before I forget" Tora chimed, jumping up from his seat he disappeared into another room, returning a minute later with a small stack of paper. He placed it infront of Shou. The confused brunet looked down at them.
"Apartments?"
"Well not just apartments, but there's a few houses and studio apartments too, I saw them and though it'd defiantly be worth taking a look at them" Tora smiled, flicking through them.
"I booked some viewing for tomorrow night, So when we finish work, we can head over and check a few out"
Shou grinned and hugged his lover, everything was starting to fall into place, he felt happy.

Author's Note; Well, isn't that a step in their relationship. Also introduced a few new characters here, not huge ones but still, it's nice to have new people.
Shou you idiot, never let go of the swings chain XD I know this chapter is a little uneventful, but the next chapter has an unexpected twist, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
