Summary: When a beautiful guy enters Tora's life, he's smitten. Unfortunately Shou has a secret and he doesn't want to share it
Three horrible tension filled days passed before any words were exchanged.Shou had contemplated going back to his own apartment, but he couldn't bring himself to go.
Instead he slept on the sofa whilst Tora slept in the bedroom. Trying to avoid each other as much as they could. Occasionally Shou would bump into Tora in the kitchen, causing a great deal of awkwardness. Tora would simply walk past him and go back into the bedroom, shutting himself away once more.
It was on the third day that the silence had gone on long enough. Shou sat on the floor behind the sofa, reading a novel. When Tora knelt down next to him, offering him a mug of coffee and a small smile. Shou accepted the coffee and returned the smile. Tora seated himself next to him, his back leaning against the couch, cradling his own mug of coffee.
"Do you wanna know how many times I've contemplated breaking up with you over the past 3 days?" He said quietly, looking at his knees. Shou couldn't bring himself to look at him, the question ringing through his mind, crushing him like a ten tonne weight.
"Exactly 164 times, it's pretty much been all I've thought about. I've even been dreaming about it while I slept"
Shou cast his eyes downwards, feeling his heart take a tumble in his chest.
"Yesterday I was going to call out new landlord and terminate our contract, I didn't want to move in with someone that I felt had betrayed me." His fingers ran through his raven hair.
"I really thought you were different Shou, I trusted you with all of my heart and I never thought you'd do something so stupid"
"Tora I'm sorry"
He sighed "Sometimes, sorry isn't enough" He set his mug on the floor. "However, Trust is something that has to be earned, but that also means it can it can be earned back"
Shou frowned a little, "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying, that even though you hurt me, I'm going to give you another chance, because you made a mistake, and that doesn't change how much I love you" He said patting the younger's knee.
"I'm done being angry Shou" He announced. "I'm still upset but I don't want us to carry on like this."
The brunette nodded, slowly sipping his drink.
They talked things over, calmly without a single raised voice. Shou knew that Tora was still hurt and that he was struggling to put it behind him. He was grateful and fought back tears. How could somebody be so selfless while he had been so stupid.
"I'm sorry for what I said the other night" The raven haired male said softly, resting his head on his lovers shoulder. "You're not a slut or a whore, I was just mad"
"I know" Shou hummed. "I deserve it though"
"No, sure you fucked up but I had no right to say that, and I certainly shouldn't have pushed you around or scare you like I did" He sighed. "You saw a side of me that I never want you to see ever again. One day I'll be able to fully forgive you and one day it'll stop hurting. So until then I just need us to take things easy. Y'know, take time to care for each other"
His fingers laced together with his lovers, thumb caressing the back of his hand.
"I love you Tora" Shou said, wiping the stray tear from his eye. What had he done in a past life to be blessed with such a forgiving and kind hearted boyfriend?
"I love you too" Tora smiled gently, "C'mon, let's go to bed, it's been pretty lonely without you in it with me"
As the days passed, Their relationship slowly rebuilt itself. It was difficult at first, kisses were few and far between, sex was non existent. Night time consisted of laying on their own side of the bed, be it at Tora's apartment or Shou's, with their hands kept to themselves. The younger had been ordered to go to the doctors and be checked for any possible STDs or infections due to the lack of protection with Saga, fortunately he was all clear. With moving day approaching They packed up their possessions in cardboard boxes, throwing out the unwanted.
Moving day was alot less stressful than Tora had anticipated. Shou had stayed at his so that in the morning they could get a head start on moving all of Tora's furniture and belongings before they got to work moving Shou's stuff.
The last box had been loaded into the car, leaving a completely empty apartment. Shou stood in the living room, looking around at the blank walls and the void space where his furniture used to be. It was a strange feeling for him to look at the place that he had spent the past 3 years and it be stripped of any familiarity it once had.
An arm wrapped around his waist and a kiss was placed on his cheek.
"Don't be sad baby" Tora said softly, resting his chin on his lovers shoulder, "Our new home is waiting for us and just think of all of the new exciting times we're going to have in it"
"I guess you're right" Shou smiled as he took the elders hand in his own. "C'mon then, let's not keep it waiting"
It was getting late by the time they had gotten to the new apartment again. Dumping the last of the boxes in the living room, they proceeded to crash on the mattress that had been thrown down in the bedroom. All around it lay boxes and books, all waiting to be put into their appropriate places.
As the lovers sprawled next to each other, Tora realized that it was the closest he'd let the brunette be in bed since the Saga incident. It made him conscious to the fact that he missed running his fingers through silky hair and letting his hands roam over the baby soft skin. He missed the way Shou's breath would tickle him whenever he rested his head on his chest and the warmth he gave off when they cuddled.
He wrapped his arms around his lover and pulled him close, pressing his lips to Shou's.
They seemed to melt into each other, they hadn't kissed properly like this for a while, only pecks without much feeling.
Tora rolled them over so that he was hovering over the brunette. Hands sweeping under his pajama shirt which drew a soft moan from him.
"I've missed this so much baby" Tora sighed, burying his face in Shou's neck.
"Me too" Shou whispered as he clung to him.
Clothing was peeled away leaving nothing but naked flesh. Hands caressed and explored every inch of their bodies. Enticing different, delicious reactions as if they were touching for the very first time all over again.
It wasn't the most romantic scenery, Making love on a mattress on the floor, surrounded by boxes and books. But the way the moonlight shining through the large windows cast just a little illumination on the brunettes face, Showing every curve, every patch of pale skin, every perfect pleasure filled facial expression that made Tora fall even more in love with Shou, and Shou fall even more in love with Tora in return.
They weren't rough and didn't rush for release, just savoring the feeling of sensual bliss.
Eventually Tora collapsed on top of Shou, panting heavily. Gently pulling out to lay down beside him. Shou snuggled up to him and kissed his chest.
"Love you Tora" He smiled as his eyes gave up the battle of staying open.
"Love you too" Tora mumbled as he joined his lover in the realm of sleep.
Shou unlocked the door after a long day at work. Miyavi had been working at the hospital, leaving him to run the shop alone. Unfortunately a group of school boys had come in and stolen a large bunch of Cd's and made a run for it, he had chased them but they were just a little to fast for him. So he had to pay for that, which was almost his entire months paycheck. He'd missed his bus home, and had to walk which took even longer. Walking through the park some drunken men had thrown half full beer cans and dirt at him. By the time he made it back to the apartment he felt miserable and wanted nothing more than to curl up on the couch and watch crappy old king-fu movies and eat lots of cake.
Walking into the living room he was met by an overly cheery Tora.
"Ahhh, here he is" He cheered. Shou noticed what looked like a video camera in his hands and quickly covered his face.
"Tora what the hell.." The raven haired lowered the camera and grinned.
"cool huh? I got it on my lunch break"
"Why, What use do you have for a video camera?" Shou questioned with a cocked brow.
Tora put the device on the coffee table and patted the space on the couch next to him.
"well" He began, less cheerful than he had been a moment ago "I've been thinking, You've been keeping a journal. Which is wonderful and all, but that'll be given to the hospital" He paused with a sigh. "Then what will I be left with of you? I want something to hold onto and not just words on paper, I figured that filming our life together would be something precious that I can treasure"
Shou looked deeply into his eyes and smiled, taking the others hand in his own, giving it a squeeze.
"If that what you want then I'll be more than happy to oblige" He beamed "Just as long as you don't film us having sex and put it on the internet"
Tora laughed "Dammit, my master plan is ruined" Shou punched him playfully on the arm.
"Shou, have you been drinking? you stink of beer". The younger let out a sound in between a cry and a laugh.
"I've had such a horrible day, Do we have any cake?" He sighed in exasperation, leaning against the elder's side.
"We do actually, Nao brought it round earlier" Tora said "But he said it's for our house warming party tomorrow"
"Since when were we having a party?"
"Since Hiroto invited nearly everyone we know here tomorrow night" He sighed
Shou defiantly hadn't expected so many people to turn up. He only had a few friends and yet the apartment was packed. Tora really did have alot of friends. He looked over at his lover, in the center of a crowd, laughing and chatting light heartedly.
"Hey Shou" Someone called, dragging his attention away.
"Real nice place you got here" Aki smiled. "You settling in okay?"
"Yeah, it feels like home already" Shou beamed.
Across the room, Tora saw his young love speaking with one of his friends. He couldn't resist pulling out his video camera and recording a little. His heart fluttering at the sigh of Shou smiling so elegantly.
The party was going really well, there was plenty of alcohol flowing and everybody was having fun. Tora and Shou reluctantly gave a small speech after being forced by Nao.
Shou stood in the kitchen with Hiroto sharing a slice of cake.
"Me and Nao are thinking of getting a dog" Hiroto announced, spitting crumbs from his cake filled mouth.
"Oh? I didn't know you liked dogs" Shou remarked looking at him.
"I didn't, but a friend's dog had some puppies and I've fallen in love with one of them. We're going to pick it up tomorrow"
"wow, well that's cool" the brunette smiled "I'm happy for you guys, it's kind of like having a kid isn't it"
Hiroto laughed "Yeah but don't say that too loud, Nao might get cold feet"
"Hey, are you alright Shou?" He asked, noticing his best friend blinking hard and rubbing his forehead.
"I think I just need to sit down" Shou mumbled, sitting himself on the floor. He took a few deep breaths, willing himself to calm down.
After a moment his head lolled forward as his limbs began to twitch and convulse.
"Oh crap" Hiroto hissed moving his friend into a laying down position, cradling his head on his lap.
"Shit Hiroto" Their friend Hitsugi cried, rushing over "Is he okay?"
"Yeah, he'll be fine, can you just get Tora for me please?"
Hitsugi quickly went into the other room and fetched Tora, and then proceeded to usher the rest of the kitchens inhabitants into the living room.
"Shou?" He knelt down beside the blonde, looking at his love. "What happened Hiroto?"
"He's just having a mild tonic-clonic seizure nothing serious" He said calmly. "Do you have a water spritz bottle and hand fan" Tora nodded and retried the items from one of the cupboards.
"Okay, just fan him and spray the water into the air just above his face, it'll help cool him down" Doing as instructed they saw Shou's convulsions slowly calm down until he was completely still, save for the slightly shallow breathing. He began to regain consciousness.
"You okay baby?" Tora asked, stroking his bangs from his eyes.
"I don't know, where am I?" The brunette questioned, distressed.
"You're in the kitchen sweetie, you had a small fit"
Shou covered his face with his arm and groaned "Everyone saw didn't they" he cried.
Tora could tell that he was getting him self worked up due to the sleepy sensation of post seizure, so carefully scooped the distraught male into his arms and got to his feet.
"Let's get you into bed, you need to rest".
Unfortunately they had to go through the living room to get to the bedroom, which caused alot of the guests to look over in concern.
The bedroom door shut and Tora gently lowered Shou down onto the bed. During the walk Shou had began sobbing, partly because of the after effects of his fit but mostly because he was embarrassed that all of his friends had seen him in such a state. Crying had only made him more frustrated, thus making it worse.
Tora lay down next to him and wrapped a comforting arm around his waist.
"calm down baby, it's alright" He soothed, wiping the younger's eyes.
"I feel so stupid, everyone is gonna laugh at me for being such a baby" he sniffed.
"Nobody is going to laugh, and you're defiantly not a baby, you're just groggy. okay so don't stress yourself about it" He gently kissed him on the nose, bringing comfort to him.
"You just stay here and get some rest alright?"
"But what about the party?"
Tora got up and placed a kiss on his lips. "Don't worry about the party, it's getting late any so I cant see it lasting much longer" with one last kiss he left the room, closing the door gently.
The last of the guests had left, Nao and Hiroto had stayed behind to help Tora clean up a little before they bid goodbye and returned home. Calling it a night Tora crawled into bed next to his lover, who was sound asleep. His fingers gently traced the curves of his face, trailing over his lips and jaw. Despite looking exhausted and deeply asleep, he still looked beautiful. It was a horrible feeling to realize that he wasn't going to be around forever. When you love someone you always think that they will be alive for the rest of time, you never stop to think about how much time they'd have left. And for Shou the hand on the clock was spinning, ticking away faster than it should be. He sighed pushing those thoughts aside, and draping his arm over Shou's hip. The future could wait, he had a lovely life to live for now and that was something he was thankful for.

Author's Note- Sorry it's taken a little while to update, it's going to be slower from here on out, since I'm only one chapter ahead now, so I have to write like crazy.
YAY, Tora and Shou didn't split up after all. and things seem to be getting better for them. Well, apart from Shou's fits T^T
It seems like Shou cries alot over the past 2 chapters, to be fair in this chapter he only cried due to his seizure and because he was embarrassed that everybody saw him like that. Poor guy.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who took the time to read to this point. Also, I've been writing quite a fics, I was wondering if anyone was interested in reading them, whilst I get a few more chapters of this written, so if you want to let me know ^^

Tora got up and placed a kiss on his lips. "Don't worry about the party, it's getting late any so I cant see it lasting much longer" with one last kiss he left the room, closing the door gently.
The last of the guests had left, Nao and Hiroto had stayed behind to help Tora clean up a little before they bid goodbye and returned home. Calling it a night Tora crawled into bed next to his lover, who was sound asleep. His fingers gently traced the curves of his face, trailing over his lips and jaw. Despite looking exhausted and deeply asleep, he still looked beautiful. It was a horrible feeling to realize that he wasn't going to be around forever. When you love someone you always think that they will be alive for the rest of time, you never stop to think about how much time they'd have left. And for Shou the hand on the clock was spinning, ticking away faster than it should be. He sighed pushing those thoughts aside, and draping his arm over Shou's hip. The future could wait, he had a lovely life to live for now and that was something he was thankful for.

Author's Note- Sorry it's taken a little while to update, it's going to be slower from here on out, since I'm only one chapter ahead now, so I have to write like crazy.
YAY, Tora and Shou didn't split up after all. and things seem to be getting better for them. Well, apart from Shou's fits T^T
It seems like Shou cries alot over the past 2 chapters, to be fair in this chapter he only cried due to his seizure and because he was embarrassed that everybody saw him like that. Poor guy.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who took the time to read to this point. Also, I've been writing quite a fics, I was wondering if anyone was interested in reading them, whilst I get a few more chapters of this written, so if you want to let me know ^^
