Winter eventually melted into Spring time, bringing longer days, sunshine and refreshing breezes with it. The smell of freshly blooming flowers lingered in the air and the atmosphere was light.

Shou had taken a few extra shifts at work, Miyavi was struggling with the tonne of hours he had to do at the hospital, so it was increasingly difficult for him to juggle both. Of course Shou was more than happy to help him out, he was a good friend of his, plus he wasn't one to turn down the extra money.

Tora had also received a pay rise, which he was ecstatic about because he was able to put some savings away and take Shou out more often.

Of course with the new arrival of spring, that meant they went out nearly every evening after work. Going to the cinema, eating in nice little cafes, trips to the beach and venturing through forests. Just doing little things to keep themselves entertained and make things interesting.

Spring also brought some benefits for Tora that most people would simply disregard. The local coffee shop started selling scrumptious flavors of drink for their spring menu, TV was better, His favorite bands released amazing new songs, and his favorite thing of all.. Shou ditched the long fleece pajamas for an over sized t shirt and the shortest shorts in existence.  That was something that Tora was very thankful for, deliciously creamy thighs for his hungry eyes to devour and the ability to slip his hand under the loose tee to caress the soft skin underneath without having to fight with the fabric.. yes, very thankful indeed.

There was also the anniversary of the day they met, which they both agreed to celebrate. It was right around the corner, and Tora had something big planned.

It was a Wednesday when he arrived home, kicking off his shoes and walking straight through to the bedroom to change out of his stuffy suit. Met by the view of Shou's ass in the air, shaking slightly as he reached deep into the back of the wardrobe. A devious smirk crept onto Tora's features as he slowly and silently slunk up behind him. Trying his hardest not to laugh. Pulling his hand back and giving Shou's ass a sharp slap, causing the younger to squeal and fall into the wardrobe, hitting his head with a small thump. Tora couldn't stop himself roaring with laughter, practically falling over, having to clutch his sides.

"Tora! You bastard" Shou cried, crawling awkwardly out of the wardrobe, rubbing his forehead.

The other gave him a cheeky grin "Hey there sexy". The brunette glared at him before shaking his head.

"Did you have to spank me quite so hard, I won't be able to sit down for a week" He pouted.

"Awww, do you want me to make it all better?" Tora chuckled seductively.

"Hell no" Shou snapped, getting to his feet with a huff "You ain't getting your hands anywhere near my ass"

"But it looks so good in those jeans. C'mon baby, I couldn't resist" His hands slid onto the brunettes hips, looking up at him from his knelt position. "If you're gonna hold something against me, can't it just be your body?"

Shou couldn't help but snort and let out a small laugh. Bopping Tora softly on the top of his head.

"Your cheesy lines get worse and worse every time"

Tora laughed and got to his feet, giving Shou his most suave smile before putting his arm around his shoulder and leading him out of the bedroom.

"Shou, I have a surprise for you" He said pushing him down on the sofa "Okay, where is the one place that you've always wanted to go to?"

"A bunny cafe?"

"No, the other place"

"Hawaii?"

With a proud smile, Tora produced something from his bag, holding them infront of Shou's face. Two plane tickets. Shou's eyes shot open, grabbing them to look closer.

"Hawaii... You got tickets...." He trailed off, staring at the items in his hands.

"I thought it'd be a nice way of celebrating our anniversary".  He suddenly felt concerned noticing that Shou was trembling from head to toe "Baby are you okay?"

"HAWAII!!" He was suddenly thrown backwards as Shou sprang at him "WE'RE GOING TO HAWAII, OH MY GOD! HAWAIII!" he cried, smothering Tora with kisses "I love you, I love you I love you"

Looking at the tickets again he snapped into an upright position.

"The flight is this Friday? Oh god I need to pack" He jumped to his feet and hopped over the sofa, running into the bedroom.

The raven haired male laughed as he sat up. Well, that was a better reaction than he had imagined. He was simply expecting a hug, perhaps a kiss. Not... whatever that was. Perhaps he had underestimated just how much he wanted to go to Hawaii.

Upon entering the bedroom again, he found Shou throwing items of clothing all over the room. Chickin sat on his bed in the corner, abandoning ship as a stray pair of jeans were tossed in his direction. Scurrying over to Tora for protection, who bent down and scooped him into his arms.

"Tora help me, I have no idea what to pack" The brunette whined, flopping forward onto the bed and letting out an exasperated groan.

"Shou, chill out" Tora laughed, sitting next to him, letting Chickin snuggle further in his arms. "It's going to be hot in Hawaii, so obviously you don't need to take any winter clothes,  although you might need a thin jacket for the evenings just incase it gets a bit chilly, and I'll go and get anything we need after I finish work tomorrow, so don't get all stressed out"

Shou rolled onto his side and gave him a small smile, heaving a sigh.

Tora returned the smile, poking him "We're going to Ha~wa~iiiiii~" He sang.

Tora mildly regretted booking such an early flight as his alarm screamed out at 2am on Friday morning. Shou had surprisingly woken up quickly, unlike his usual habit of clinging to the bed until he was  running the risk of being late, he actually was the one coaxing Tora out of bed with coffee and toast. By the time he had finished his breakfast, the brunette had already showered and put the suit cases by the door.

They jumped into the taxi and headed to the airport. Shou was practically jumping up and down with excitement. Not even bothering to collect the change when getting out of the taxi, grabbing the suitcases and pulling Tora along with him.

He couldn't stay still as they checked in and even during their long wait to board the plane, he was still buzzing around. It was only when they finally boarded the plane did he actually clam down.  Tora on the other hand was quite the opposite. Since he had the idea of going on holiday, he'd been trying to distract himself from the thought of actually flying. At one point he thought it would be impossible, he'd had great difficulty getting a  passport for Shou without him finding out, but luckily he found one of the photos that he'd had taken for his ID renewal. Now that he was sat on the plane, he felt the terror bubbling up inside of him.

Shou looked over at him, noticing that he was twitching his head around every few seconds.

"Are you okay Tora-shii? You don't look so good"

"Well" The elder mumbled as he shifted in his seat "I don't know if I've ever told you, but I'm fucking terrified of flying"

"What?"

"I have a really really bad fear of flying" Shou could only stare at him in disbelief. Was he serious, Tora was super tough, he wasn't afraid of anything. Well except from spiders..and cockroaches.. and mice aaand the old lady who worked on the front desk where he worked. Okay so he was afraid of a few little things, but Shou never expected him to be afraid of something like flying.

"You don't need to be afraid babe, I'm right here" He smiled, lacing his fingers with Tora's.

The hostesses were busy with the safety announcements, not that Tora was listening, he was too concerned about taking off.

"Tora, it's going to be fine"

Somehow Tora just couldn't believe him. He could feel himself getting more and more anxious closer to take off, until he suddenly unclipped his seat belt and started to get up.

"Tora what are y-"

"I can't do this Shou, I'm so sorry" He whimpered "You go have a good time, I'll see you in a week"

"Don't be ridiculous , sit down" Shou frowned feeling a tinge of embarrassment as the people around them stared at them.

"No, I really can't do this. I need to get off the plane"

Before Tora could take another step and before one of the stewards could come over, Shou grabbed his arm and yanked him back down onto the seat.

"Tora seriously, you need to get a hold of yourself." He hissed "You can't get off the plane now, it's already starting to move"

Tora's breathing had become rugged, he was well and truly starting to panic. Shou's expression softened, stroking his cheek softly.

"Please baby, just put your seat belt on and try to relax. I know it's scary but I promise everything will be okay" He said coaxing the other to look at him "I'm right here beside you, please"

Tora never had been able to defy those adorable puppy eyes before. Clipping his seatbelt back in, he felt his heart smashing against his ribcage, his breath coming out in sharp shallow bursts.

Shou took his hand, rubbing it with his thumb "Try to calm down, there's nothing to freak out about. We're going to take off in a minute so try to remain relaxed okay."

The other nodded hesitantly. Letting out an almost silent whimper as he felt the aircraft lift from the runway, burying his face in the crook of the youngers neck. Shou squeezed his hand tighter, stroking his hair with the other.

"Take a deep breath, if you keep breathing like this you'll hyperventilate" the hot tendrils escaping Tora's lips blowing against his neck began to slow eventually.

After a few long minutes, Tora sat back in his chair, looking stressed and exhausted.

"Try and get some sleep babe" Shou said quietly "You look worn out". Tora simply responded by resting his head on the other's shoulder. Being 4am, it didn't take him long  to drift off, allowing Shou to sit back and relax without having to worry about him.

A small bump  had Tora snapping awake and grabbing Shou's hand with a shocked gasp.

"woah, take it easy" Shou soothed "it's just a little bit of turbulence, nothing to be scared of" The grip on his hand loosened off, his head dropping back onto Shou's shoulder.

Luckily Tora managed to sleep for the entire flight, giving Shou the chance to chill out and watch a few of the terrible in-flight films. He even slept through the landing. Waking up only when the younger shook him tenderly.

It didn't take too long for them to collect their luggage and make their way to the airport exit where they caught a taxi to where they would be staying.

Tora was back to his normal self soon enough, looking over at Shou who was tapping his feet eagerly as he peered out of the window. Squeaking with excitement at every passing view. He seemed very fixated on the novelty of seeing palm trees everywhere. There was a small look of confusion on his face as the taxi headed away from all of the tourist areas and drove down small quiet roads. His eyes were eventually met by the views of thick tropical forests.

"Where are we even going?" He asked

"You'll find out soon enough"

And Boy, was Shou blown away. The taxi rolled to a stop in the middle of a forest, next to a small footpath. He almost tripped over as he got out of the vehicle due to looking around in awe.

He'd never seen so much greenery, he had only ever lived in the city, be it a residential area or the city itself and he'd never been to a forest before. Everything smelt so incredible, each colour seemed amplified to his city trained eyes.

"You okay?" Tora asked with a small amused smirked.

"This is... this is..." Words seemed to escape him, he roamed around in the foliage, fingers brushing against the vivid green leaves of a nearby plant, "This is incredible"

"You guys aren't even at the best part yet" The cab driver smiled, giving Tora a hand with the cases.

"I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the island, how about you Shou?"

He didn't receive a coherent answer, instead he got an excited uncharacteristic squeal  from the younger. He paid the taxi driver and grabbed their cases before grabbing Shou's hand and beginning the walk down the foot path.

The sights and sounds were enough to intoxicate the senses. Tora didn't bother with words as they both enjoyed their slow walk through the beautiful forest.

His ears were met by the sound of waves as they approached a clearing of trees.

"Oh my god" Shou's suitcase slipped from his hand, neglected as he took a step forward, eyes wide and mouth hanging open just slightly.

Infront spanned the most beautiful view he had ever seen, pearly white sand, sparkling bright blue ocean and a cloudless sunny sky. It was like something from a story book, almost looking like a painting. Tora's arms snaked around his waist, planting a kiss on his shoulder.

"Breath taking eh?" He sighed, a nod in reply. The elder took his hand once more, leading him out onto the sand. "Our place is just a little further down the beach apparently"

He could already see it coming into view, so pulled his silent lover a bit faster, wanting nothing more than to unpack, get himself a drink and chill for a few moments before going to sprawl on the beach for a few hours.

Their accommodation? A little wooden beach hut on the edge of the beach. It was located in a secluded area of the island although not too far away from civilization, of course it cost him a shed load more but he thought it was worth every yen. That way he could have Shou all to himself with no one around to distract them, no work, no stress, just himself, Shou and the beautiful surroundings.

Shou's eyes had locked onto the hut and were wide with amazement, almost in pleasant shock.

"C'mon, let's get our stuff inside" Tora said fishing the keys that had been given to him.

The inside was just as welcoming as the outside. A huge bed to the far wall with draws either side, each adorned with a cute little tiki lamp. There was a bathroom on one side and a kitchen on the other. Not much furniture wise, but it was plenty to spend the week there comfortably, after all, they only really needed a bed, toilet, shower and kitchen and those were all accounted for.

Tora turned around, smiling at the look on Shou's face, so damn adorable. He pulled him close and kissed him lovingly, manovering them across the room until they collapsed onto the soft bed, limbs tangling together.

"So" Tora breathed "what do you think so far?"

"I don't know, I'm still expecting to wake up and it all just be a dream. It's so much more amazing that I had ever imagined"

That was all Tora needed to hear to put a huge smile on his face.

"Well let's get hydrated, cause I'm so thirsty I might drink the entire ocean. But then we can either go out and chill on the beach, or head to the town, 'sup to you"

The brunette pondered for a moment, tracing patterns on Tora's chest.

"How about we play on the beach for an hour or two to recoup from the flight then go into town later on?"

"Sounds perfect" Tora gave him one last, long kiss before rolling off the bed and heading to the kitchen area.

The fridge had been filled with bottles upon bottles of water and different alcohol, many more than Tora had requested, making him smile. He was feeling really optimistic about the vacation.

If there was a heaven, Shou was sure he was there. Sprawled out on the warm sand with the sun beating upon him, yet a small ocean breeze to cool him down. Pure bliss.

He'd been for a swim in the sea and was having a small lie down to relax his well traveled muscles.

"Shou" Tora mumbled from his side "Will you help me put some sun cream on?"

"Sure" He mumbled as he lazily rolled over and pushed himself onto his knees. He took the bottle from Tora, carefully squeezing a good amount onto his back and beginning to massage it in. The elder let out a small content sigh as Shou's hands worked against his heated skin.

"You don't mind if I take a tiny nap do you?" He asked, stretching out on his belly to get more comfortable.

"Not at all" Shou smiled "I'm just gonna head to the hut and grab a sandwich, you want anything?"

"Nah I'm good"

So with that settled, Shou got up and walked over to the beach hut. Wiping the sand from his feet on the doormat before entering. It took his eyes a moment to adjust to the change in light as it was darker inside.

His sandwich tasted so good compared to the bland plane food, possibly eating it a little bit too fast before he raided the fridge and grabbed a pot of fruit salad to satisfy his sweet tooth.

By the time he had strolled back to his spot on the beach, he found Tora already fast asleep, head resting on his crossed arms, laying on his back. An evil smile crept onto Shou's face, Only a few days prior had Tora slapped his ass so hard that he struggled to sit down for the rest of the night, so now it was time for some payback. Silently he knelt down and picked up the bottle of sun lotion. With a smirk he proceeded to squeeze the lotion onto Tora's chest. Satisfied with his handy work he sat back to admire. He'd drawn an outline of a star around each of his nipples.

With stiffled laughter he reached over to his towel and grabbed his phone. There was no way he was going to miss the chance to snap a picture and send it to Hiroto and Nao. That'll teach him to spank him so hard.

"SHOU!" Tora yelled from the bathroom. Said brunette looked over from his position on the bed as the door swung open, revealing a very disgruntled Tora.

"What the hell is this?" He frowned pointing at his nipples, more so, the white stars around his nipples.  Try as he might, Shou couldn't contain his laughter. As Tora had tanned, as light as it may be, Shou's lotion masterpieces had stayed white, creating almost luminous star shaped halos.

"Oh my god, that is a million times funnier than I imagined" He spluttered, falling back onto the pillows as he continued his fit of hysterics.

"This isn't funny Shou, I look like a idiot"

"You look like a porn star" Shou giggled.

Tora raised a brow, losing the intimidating look he had previously adorned. "How would you know?"

"Tora, I do live in the modern world, I've watched porn before" He shrugged.

"You? I never expected you to jack off to porn"

Shou simply rolled his eyes and threw a pillow at him. "Never said I jacked to it, but if the mental image serves you well, then who am I to correct you"

The elder shook his head, bringing his frown back into play.

"Whatever, but seriously, why the heck would you do this to me?" He whined, jabbing the younger in the ribs with his finger.

"Payback for nearly bruising my butt and making me bash my head on the inside of the wardrobe, as well as almost scaring me shitless the other night" Shou smirked, letting Tora straddle him without protest.

"Fair play" He retorted, brushing his lips ever so lightly over the shell of his ear, sending a shiver through his spine. "But now we're even, so watch your back.. baby".

Oh god, even as a threat, Tora's voice sounded so erotic. Undertones of velvet brushing over every nerve in the Shou's body.

Tauntingly his hands ran over the youngers frame, caressing the skin near his danger zones before he suddenly got up and walked over to the bathroom and locked the door, returning to his shower. Leaving a rather hot and bother Shou.

"Are you fucking kidding me" He cried, flopping back on the bed in a deflated manner. That bastard.

It was later than they had planned by the time they reached the small town. The sun was still high in the sky, but was shining with a sweet orange hue, basking the island beautifully.

Most of the small shops and stalls had packed up for the day, leaving just the restaurants and bars open for business. Which was where the two found themselves. They'd found a nice little bar on the beach front, sprawled on sun loungers enjoying some of the exotic Hawaiian cocktails. Tora expressed that he was happy enough with a beer, but Shou payed no attention and ordered him the brightest, most flamboyant cocktail, just to make a humorous point. Annoyingly, it turned out to be one of the nicest drinks the raven haired male had ever tasted, fueling Shou's smirk.

Regardless, the brunette rested his head upon his shoulder with a yawn. Unlike Tora, he'd bee awake since 2am, so the jetlag was quickly catching up with him as well as the alcohol making his lids droop.

"You tired baby?" Tora asked softly, brushing the brown locks from his lovers eyes.

"I'm just resting my eyes" He mumbled.

The other smiled, He was always so cute when he was tired. "We can go back if you want to sleep".

"No, I'm fine. I just need a few minutes to rest my.." He trailed off, already nodding off.  Gently, Tora moved from under his head and stood up, rubbing Shou's arm to rouse him momentarily.

"C'mon you, lets get back and go to bed. Get on my back and I'll carry you"

"No, I'm too heavy"

"As if, now jump on, you're too tired to walk" He insisted. Shou eventually nodded and climbed onto his back.

The walk back was peaceful, Shou drifting in and out of sleep, occasionally mumbling something incoherent into Tora's shoulder. The sun had started dipping below the horizon creating a cooler atmosphere, that Tora welcomed whole heartily. He was more that happy with the daytime heat, but after sunbathing all day, he was thankful for a little breeze on his heated skin. He was also thankful for the paraffin torches that lit up the path back to their little secluded beach, without them he was sure that he wouldn't be able to recognize the way.

The tide had started to come in as he reached the hut, luckily it wasn't too near to the wooden shack.

He fished the key from his pocket and quietly entered. Making sure not to bump Shou's head on the door frame. Gently he lowered the younger down on the bed. Beginning to strip him off, leaving him in his tshirt and underwear before he removed his own clothes and slipped in next to him.

Their first day in Hawaii might have been uneventful but it was beyond relaxing, and exactly what they needed after their tiring day. Recharging their batteries for the busy day ahead.

Bright and early the next morning, the two had awoken and soon found themselves in the back of an offroad car, heading to one of the many surprises that Tora had planned. The road was bumpy and wound through thick forests.

After almost half an hour, the car came to a stop rather abruptly.

"Ah we're here" Tora beamed, practically jumping out of the vehicle. Shou was a little more reluctant, getting out somewhat slower.

"And where exactly is here?" He sighed with a large stretch. Tora already pulled his video camera out and was filming something in the other direction, causing Shou to turn around.

"Wow..."

His eyes were met it one of the most spectacular sights they had ever seen. From the depths of the forests, down a dusty little trail was a huge volcano. it seemed so large that if it wanted to, it could stretch up to the sky.

They both stood in awe of it, being from a Japanese city, they'd never actually seen a real volcano before.

Tora walked over and grabbed Shou's hand, leading him towards the dirt trail.

"Where are we going?" The brunette questioned, his eyes still glued to the magnificent landscape.

"We my darling, are going all the way to the top" Tora smiled cheerfully.

"Are you serious, that thing is huge, we'll never make it"

Tora shook his head lightly, "Don't worry, there's a trail that winds around the entire mountain side, its about 5 miles long, but it's not too steep. We should be at the top in an hour or two"

Shou felt a little bit uneasy about such a venture, but excitement to get to the top bubbled inside of him.

It was apparent as they reached the half way point, That Shou was very much out of shape. Luckily, Tora was quite oblivious as he was busy videoing the lovely scenery around them. He wasn't sure if it was the walk, or just the heat but Shou felt gross and sweaty. Downing yet another bottle of water. It was worse as they got closer to the top due to the air thinning, not much, but enough to make walking more difficult.

"Tora" Shou panted, stumbling to a stop "Can we take a break, we've been walking for forever"

The raven haired male stopped, turning to face his now doubled over boyfriend. Feeling a pang of guilt, he'd been so mesmerized by everything else that he'd pretty much ignored his lover. Whose cheeks were red and breath coming out rugged.

"Yeah of course" He said, watching as the younger slumped ungracefully onto his ass and took another swig of water. Tora crouched down next to his and rubbed his arm gently.

"Are you okay babe?"

Shou nodded, his shaking fingers telling a different story.

"Why didn't you say anything earlier?"

"I did" The brunette sighed "You didn't hear me"

Tora's chest tightened, he had heard Shou mumble something earlier but he was too busy to take notice of him. And boy did he feel awful.

"I'm so sorry Shou, I feel like such a dickhead" He cried lowering his head.

Shou gave him a small smile "Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm fine, honestly. I just need a minute"

Tora was more than happy to allow him time to recover, one minute turned to ten, just to be sure he was ready for the last walk up to the top.

Fortunately, Shou did make it to the top without another break. The smell of sulfur drifted thickly through the hot air.

Tora helped Shou up the last few steps onto the top surface. The view was indiscribeable, so breath taking that neither of them could fathom any words. They could see for miles and miles all around. Tora was sure he could even spot their beach, if his sense of direction wasn't shot. The view stretched out all the way to the oceans horizon, sparkling with the reflection of the sun.

He felt Shou squeeze his hand. He looked at him to see an amazed expression, eyes flitting all over the landscape.

"This is just...mindblowing" He whispered, running his fingers through his hair. Tora planted a loving hiss on his hand.

Each small step brought them closer to the volcanoes crater. Causing Shou's knees to lower him closer to the ground until he was kneeling down. Following suit, Tora joined him when they reached the very edge, the biggest smile adorning his face.

"This is insane" He laughed "I never thought I'd be at the mouth of a freakin volcano, amazing"

Shou however, wasn't so excited. Cowering back a tad.

"You okay there?" Tora smirked. But it was soon wiped from his face as he saw that Shou was not amused in the slightest, rather the opposite.... he was trembling.

"eeemm, well..." The brunette hesitated, biting his lip "no, not really"

"What's wrong?"

Dark brown eyes glanced into his own, then averted back to the dusty ground.

"I'm really scared" he said quietly "What if the volcano erupts?"

Tora had to use all of his will power so that he didn't bust into laughter.

"Shou, it isn't going to erupt. Do you really think we'd be allowed up here if there was even the slightest chance that thing could erupt?"

"I guess not..." He blushed. Feeling very stupid for entertaining those thoughts, even if it was a very real concern. He managed to grab ahold of his thoughts and willed himself to try and relax.

Tora arms wrapped around him comfortingly.

"It's alright" He smiled "How about, together we look over the edge and then we can head back down, what do you say?"

Slowly, Shou gave a hesitant nod, releasing his grip around Tora's chest. Clutching to his hand instead. The elder beamed at him reassuringly which to his surprise made him feel so much better.

On the count of three, they both peaked their heads over the edge.

"Holy fuck!"

Below them, hundreds of meters down. Boiling hot liquid bubbled and swarmed, creating beautifully powerful marble patterns. Smoke drifting up and dancing in the roasting air. Bright burning shades of orange, red and yellow giving life to a natural canvas that was very much alive.

"Look at all that Lava, that's insane."

"Well, technically, it's magma" Shou corrected with a grin. Cause Tora to gently bop him on the head.

"It's such a long way down, looks like it's on the other side of the world, but at the same time, dangerously close to the top"

They ended up staying there for a good ten minutes, neither of them feeling the need to leave.

It was only when Tora's stomach let out a loud rumble did they shift from their spot and began their decent down the mountain.

"Woah, careful" Tora frowned as Shou slipped on a patch of loose rubble, making him stumble a few steps.

"I'm okay, chill" Shou laughed "I'm not exactly going to fall off the side of the cliff am I?"

"Yeah but you could fall over and hurt yourself, and if you think I'm carrying your clumsy ass down this mountain, you can think again" He huffed.

Of course, He was much too quick to speak.

The terrain beneath Tora's feet shifted before he could react, sending him crashing violently towards the ground.

Authors Notes. - Wow, it's been a month since I posted the last chapter, not including the interludes. Now we're back to the story and talk about an almost literal cliff hanger. 
I know this chapter seems somewhat fast paced, as some of the scenes are very short, after all there's alot going on in this chapter. 
Tora sis such a sweet heart for taking them to Shou's ultimate dream place, unfortunately has his plan for a romantic vacation backfired?
