“I won't leave you, Shunsui.”
“Are you certain about that?”
“Of course I am. Don't you believe your own friend? We've been together since childhood, you should know better than to doubt me.”
A smile graced Shunsui's features, a sad yet relieved one that tugged at Jushiro's heartstrings. Jushiro reached out a hand, laid it upon Shunsui's arm to try and comfort him.
“You know I won't leave.” Jushiro pulled Shunsui to him, let him lay his head on his shoulder. “I'd never do that to you.”
“Hopefully.”
Shunsui's warm breath on his neck only made Jushiro tighten his hold.
