Author's Notes: orz I haven't updated here in... ever. But I'm still writing it, and I need to post like... three or two that I just need to type up. Takes place during the Nayuki arc. One sided Nayuki x Yuuichi. Written for fanfic100. Chapter 11 of "Winter Tales".

Mom… Mom… Mom…
That single word echoed throughout Nayuki’s head. It was the only thing on her mind.
She didn’t care that she was alone in her room, or that she was still in her pajamas or that the room was in total darkness. She only cared about her mother, her precious mother, the mother that so preciously cared for her… and Yuuichi.
She felt dirty thinking about that boy. Yuuichi had betrayed her in so many ways seven years ago. First, rejecting her, and then not responding to any of her letters over the years. She was even afraid that he had forgotten her name. But when he came back, he acted like nothing was wrong. Sure, he remembered her name, but she knew all along he liked someone else.
Lifelessly, her gaze moved from her pink knees to the red marble Yuuichi had set on the floor and even bought for her. Its pale red color made Nayuki remember things: happy things, sad things and bittersweet things. Her eyes filled up with tears at the sudden rush of memories she remembered and things she had buried deep inside her heart.
“Yuuichi…” she whispered into the dark room.
“Yuuichi… Yuuichi… Yuuichi…!!”
She began to cry even harder now. She could see his kind smile through her tightly shut eyes.
Yuuichi… I’m so sorry… for the things I said…!!
She buried her head in her hands and cried for being so awful and so mean to Yuuichi.
“I’m sorry…”
She reached over and grabbed the red marble, holding it tightly.
“Yuuichi… I really do love you after all…”
