you left out you-are-amazing eyes & i-am-so-glad-i-found-you eyes

"these days I open my heart a little wider and talk with my hands a little more in hopes of making the small difference that will keep Autumn around me like an ocean." I do the same thing; I love Autumn so much, but it never really happened this year in Alabama, it went from ninety degrees to fifty with no in between, the leaves were green then red, but frozen to branches (they will not fall) & I hope you have more luck than I did.

All summer I was craving red! and orange! and then it came and I forgot to hold it close to me and now it's leaving and I can't quite figure out what to do with myself.

I hope you get a proper Autumn next year - if not I will mail you a pile of leaves to have around you so that you can have your own private fall.

(how about i'mblushingsomuch eyes and you'realreadyoneofmyfavourites eyes)

this was such a nice post.
'I do not hang my reflection in any mirror, but I run my hands through my hair and laugh and feel ancient and holy and beautiful, dusty with whispered secrets and a brand new power in the so[u]l[e]s of my feet.'

i have to applaud you for being content; you are maybe one of two or three (four or five at a very unlikely maximum) to actually be happy on this round of new friends' entries.

oh, i'm very happy to hear that. that's such a nice change, really it is.

i'd love to be able to see inside your heart, just to understand all the things you do!

I am rarely content. That's a horrible thing to own up to, but at least it means that I can recognise how important these pockets of happiness are when they arrive.

Did I recommend it to you as well? I can't remember. But YES! If you keep reading (and I hope you do) you'll see all of the images/phrases she repeats throughout and they are just beautiful and perfectly balanced and no book has made me quite as jealous as that one did in a long time.

Hmmm, no. Not really. I'm going to keep reading it because I'm sure that I will like it, and I can see its merits, but right now I just want to punch him in the mouth.

I said it in this very post, actually.

Haruki Murakami is ah-may-zing. His writing gets under my skin and I love it. Have you read much by him?
