Welcome back, old friend

I'd like to formally welcome back my dear friend, Top Chef.  Last season ended with a thud as the contestants at the end were pretty vanilla.  The trouble makers were not necessarily the most skilled, making little drama.  This season, however, seems to have a few brilliant chefs that also have attitude.  There's no Clay or Mikey in this lot.   And ( Read more... )

I know! Happy to have it back, and they do seem talented. I was just like, "Huh? What? They are freaking out about peeling an apple with a paring knife?"

Dude, I could take them down! I'm fast. ;)

Richard and Stephanie have blogs! Looks like they are scaling back the blogs for now.
I bet the knife skills start to drop when the cameras are on. Dude should have been dq'd when he sliced his finger. The apples should have been thrown out as not edible, and he should have started over.

I haven't checked out the blogs yet. I will. They should have scaled them back, it was getting ridiculous and most of them sucked (yes, Dale & Malarkey, I'm talking to you).

No kidding on the bloody apples. Srsly. It was a knife skills test. You shouldn't be rewarded when you ended up with a bloody stump down there with the apples.
