Mujan... could you have at least warned me? That, and I was going for security, you know...

In that case, I really can't refuse... Schuldig, when do I start? I heard that you're almost done setting up but it needs some more cleaning and whatever. I do work for ShinRa's Rebuilding/Restoration, so I could help out with that, too. While I'm at it, I' ( Read more... )

That "joke" of his was completely uncalled for, Kakashi-san. It's one thing for oblivious boys like Naruto-kun to be saying such things but a grown man ought to understand by now that women just don't take kindly to that kind of talk. Just because something is meant as a joke doesn't make it right or appropriate. Don't apologize for that redheaded creep's bad manners. He should be the one to apologize to Sakura-chan as well as learn a few things about tact.

I'm willing to help in whatever way I can. I wouldn't want Hojo to get away with anything and I hope that those infected can be cured.

Observing him, not confronting him, right? Logan apparently has no qualms about killing anyone who attacks him. I can't believe Hojo has gotten to all those people already. What if there are more? It could be anyone.

If you haven't let Jean and the others know that Ed and I know, you should do so. In the meantime, I don't plan on talking to anyone else about this.

Understood. It's the reason that people didn't take well to Miroku's first impressions, either, but what bothers me is that the monk is completely serious. I'm not so much apologizing for his behavior as much as I'm apologizing for men on a whole and how not all men are like that. It's just that there are all too many men who make the good ones look bad.

He's on a level of his own. That in itself is disturbing. What woman in her right mind would tell him yes? Especially when he likes to grope certain parts of her body too? You don't even need to apologize for that. I know plenty of men who aren't like that at all. Aoshi-sama and Himura, and ugh, even Saito are just a few.

Yeah especially since we don't know what the long-term side effects could be.

Ah, okay. But even though he seems to be the most affected, we can't just keep an eye on him. Shouldn't we observe the others as well? And do we know anything about the whereabouts of Hojo and Jenova?

Reno seems like a reliable and trustworthy person to me. And he knows Hojo and Jenova better than the rest of us considering they're from the same world.

Ah, I suppose he must be, but thankfully he's picking up little tips and hints. Although his adjustment is very slow... ... I was about to say something, but I recall that I have to work on not talking about things like that. I might as well put that out there for the record, though. At least, I would like to also hear what Sakura wants to say.

[PRIVATE // filtered to list // UNHACKABLE]Mm. I don't know if I have informed you, but I was told of two possible 'cures'. One involves completely destroying the person, but this probably won't work in a place where people can easily come back to life. On the other hand, the second solution would be to have those who are infected fight off Jenova's influence with their own wills. The catch is that they have to be strong-willed in order to do so, and (from my experience) Jenova seems to easily pick out emotions, thoughts, and memories of particular weakness and attacks those parts of the mind, making it very hard to stop her influence ( ... )

Let me make this very clear to you then: Should she damage Sunde, as long as I'm alive, she won't have a peaceful moment. Should she beat the shit out of me, hey, I can live with that, but she's taking her chances because I'm not going to just stand there and let her do it. Cause any damage to my club, and that's another story completely, kid or no.

Understood. But I assure you that no such damage will come to the establishment, and if it comes down to that, I will be there to prevent her from doing so.

As will I and the security staff.

Speaking of which, when would you like me to start, boss? I never really thought I'd wind up a dancer, but if that's what Rikku wants, then...

If he is a mind reader like he says he is supposed to be, then he should have been able to see that I wasn't actually going to do that, but rather that I was trying to flush him out. Yet, from his so called actions, I really am starting to doubt he can read minds at all, especially since my thoughts would have been hurling in his direction and my true intent known. Then again, since he was a coward and refused to meet me one on one, I'm not surprised..

It's not your apology I want, sensei, though I'm sure the so called adult that he calls himself to be still won't give me one. Cha. Pervert or not, you're more of a man than he is. I'd like to make some comment about him lacking certain things, but then I'd be dropping to his level. I'll leave his 'establishment' alone, as long as the jerk keeps his trap shut. Otherwise, where my fist lands isn't my problem, especially if he's going to make come base comments, then run away and hide.

Ah, I understand that. For all I know, he could've enjoyed your reaction and might still be enjoying making you angry--in that case, regardless of what he says or does, it's probably in your best interest to completely avoid him. As you should know, he is now one of my current employers, so I would prefer to have a very professional and neutral stance in this situation.

Cha. That's not something an adult should do now is it? Especially considering how adamant he was about being an adult. Personally, I think Naruto's more of an adult compared to him..

.. Fine. Since you asked, sensei, I will, but only for your sake. I could care less what happens to the hentai or his hovel.

Yes, I understand where you're coming from, but you should already know that different adults have different mentalities anyway. Look at myself, Jiraiya, that monk Miroku, or that red-head puppeteer who I'd rather not name... and then think about this telepath guy--see what I mean?

Thank you, Sakura. I appreciate your understanding and consideration. At least you're proving by your actions that you are more grown up than others think you are.

Hai~ I've collected quite a few different drinks. Ne, the one cupboard is kind of looking like a booze drawer~ Eh, you better not. I don't support his kind. He can fend for himself. Ne, I suppose it's too much to hope that a dragon chomps his ugly little head off~ Ever tried this whiskey, or vodka? Oi, those have a kick if you're looking for something like that~

Thank you, Matsumoto-san. Trust me, I wouldn't dare cross you in that regard--I have a deep respect for you, after all. And I wouldn't mind taking something with a kick just as long as we prevent me from having all too much. I do recall what happened the last time I had that much to drink...

No problem, Hatake-san~ Hai, I do remember that respect you've shown me. Mou, maybe something with less of a kick then, since this 'we preventing' probably won't happen~ I tend to egg people on, ne~? Heh~ As do I. You really can't hold too much booze~

Point taken. Less kick means a higher chance of me controlling myself... Can't believe I'm really that bad with alcohol.

We're supposed to have jobs, mujan. Lugging around machina at my garage doesn't count as a job.

Hey, hey. You're not gonna die anymore; I thought we established that?

Well... I did say I might need a second job, but... I was going for security... You don't really expect me to dance, do you? I mean, it's not like I don't know how to, but... I'll only be doing this because it'll make you happy, okay? And on the other hand, Schuldig said that he's not sure to what capacity he's going to use me just yet. Err, you're not going to change that, are you?

Mm, I'm not. I promised. At least, I won't die intentionally. If something gets out of hand, it doesn't mean I'm breaking my promise--it just means that I really couldn't do anything about it.
