It's one thing for oblivious boys like Naruto-kun to be saying such things but a grown man ought to understand by now that women just don't take kindly to that kind of talk. Just because something is meant as a joke doesn't make it right or appropriate. Don't apologize for that redheaded creep's bad manners. One involves completely destroying the person, but this probably won't work in a place where people can easily come back to life. On the other hand, the second solution would be to have those who are infected fight off Jenova's influence with their own wills. The catch is that they have to be strong-willed in order to do so, and (from my experience) Jenova seems to easily pick out emotions, thoughts, and memories of particular weakness and attacks those parts of the mind, making it very hard to stop her influence
