The process of actually getting a job requires you to contact the co-op officials and apply for the jobs of your choice. The college will help you get the job, 95% of the time everyone gets a job, too. Most of the jobs are paid (you can probably check if its a paid job or just an experience internship when you apply). I think the average, from the last time I check, is around $300-$500 a week? But that really depends on which internship you apply to.

and from what you say art schools sound really good because I don't even know what I want to major in! so taking two years to try a variety of things sounds perfect *3*
and, um, rogue, I live in Israel I can't go to portfolio days ;o; or visit that many colleges?
plus i don't think i could afford any trips to the US other than when i plan to come study...?
also portfolio standards in Israel are REALLY low so i wouldn't even know how to BEGIN making one orz

I also know Emily Carr and Vancouver Film School in Vancouver. Emily Carr is a bit more "theoretical", more like University and academics than necessarily aims to get you job ready, but maybe that's what you're looking for. Vancouver Film school focuses on animation. Really good ones. That's about it sorry not much info there.
