Oh, my heart! This is wonderful. I think I got so used to seeing these characters all primarily played for comic relief that, when there was suddenly the tugging of my heartstrings thanks to this triangle in the premiere, I was really surprised! And this was such a beautiful examination of the whole situation. Angela excels so much at bitchiness that it's kind of hard, while watching the show, to stop and realize what's going on in her brain, so this was just an awesome exploration of that. And, oh, God, Andy (for whom my heart is doomed to break, breeeeak this season!) being so sweet and oblivious and the sort of person who, when it all comes down to it, should probably be marrying Kelly Kapoor instead. The way it shifted from Angela feeling legitimately fond towards him to the horror at the dance suggestion was such a great transition. (OH ANDY. Again

Wow! Thank you for the extra long, extra nice review! It's funny that you mention the fact that you don't think about Dwight and Angela being opposites all that much because I was totally inspired by your story, Office Strange Love, and Angela's comment about Harry Connick Jr. being her type of man. (That's actually one of the first Office stories I read and so it will always have a special place in my Dwangela-heart -- and now that I think about it, Andy is totally like Harry Connick Jr. what with the singing and wooing.)
