I've had quite a few people ask the same questions so I thought i'd create this quick reference post for any questions you may have. If you have any more, please feel free to ask!

It's the best fan fiction that I have ever read.
I've been reading this off my iPod for the course of a week.
I've avoided all human life until I finished it.
Every minor detail fell into place so beautifully with the main storyline.
I want to print this and have it forever.
You amaze me.
I desperately want to know the 24 words in Gerard's secret.
I want to know what They can't have.
I don't care if They come after me.
Please, please, please share the secret?
I'll keep it somewhere safe!

And thank you for saying you liked Markman, original characters often get overlooked in bandom, so thank you!

My main question is this (I believe someone may have already asked it, if so I apologise). Did you pick 24 as a random number of words or did you actually think of the words but decide not to write them to protect us from 'them'? If the numbers were planned I may just spend the rest of the night trying to work them out and take the risk of 'them' finding me.
PS. Why did Gerard have to die? I know it's the easiest way to end an amazing fanfic like this and I can't think of a better ending but still even though there was no other option I have to ask why?
And thank you again for writing such an amazing, emotional roller-coaster of a fanfiction :)

I did actually write out a secret but I quickly realised that there was no way I was going to please everyone with it and it probably wasn't as amazing as everyone wanted it to be. Plus, I totally had to protect everyone as well... So, yeah 24 was the actual number.
Gerard had to die because i'd been foreshadowing his death since the very beginning and although it hurt so bad I had to do it. There was no way he was going to live in an institution for the rest of his life; it just wasn't the way I created his character. Plus, Frank needed to be freed so he could get on with his life and there was no way he was going to leave if Gerard was still alive. But, do know that my beta practically had to threaten me to go through with it (i still have original endings where Gerard is alive on my computer :/)
Thank you so much for reading xx
