i wasnt sure if i wanted to post this or not, but im goin to anyway.
FREEDOM
I can see it,
Its there, teasing me.
I want to get there,
I want to embrace it.
Its there, just out of reach.
A tear flows,
Memories of the last time come flooding back.
It’s not fair.
I would give anything
Just to be near it,
To have it surround me
And trap me within.
I’m getting closer,
I can feel it there.
I see it shift and change.
The tears don’t stop flowing from my eyes.
Then, my trip is interrupted,
I’m being pulled back.
I fight it,
I tell myself not to give up.
I’m so close!
Almost there!
But this force pulls stronger.
I can’t be released. It has me.
I fall limp to its power.
Freedom is still not mine
