I'm taking my daughter to her first rock concert tonight - her first just happens to my favorite band and one her father loves a lot too... which is of course Steely Dan

That's adorable. I grew up to Steely Dan too because of my dad but he and I have never had the chance to see them -- blame the Pacific Ocean. I'm moving to North America soon though and I'm hoping, time and space permitting, I get the chance to invite him over and see a show. Have fun! :>

Most of the concerts I've seen have been with my mom (and it's a lot!) and she took me to my first SD concert in 2000 and I've been dedicating my life to them ever since. It's nice to see a parent bringing a child to a concert that actually knows and likes the band. Too often I see the opposite and it irks me to no end. Have fun!

Carlock is beyond a treat to watch. My heart stops when he solos.

That's so awesome that she is so young yet loves Steely Dan. I have a lot of great memories of singing songs from the "A Decade Of Steely Dan" album with my mother when I was little (I'm 24 now).

They came to Atlanta, Georgia in early August and it was the best thing I have seen in a really long time.
