oh yes, there's a ton of politics involved. there are some groups that win just because of their names, i won't name any because i'm not jealous. i know that my group is pretty good and last year we started changing the concepts of our shows (chesterton high school) and we won. and we were really really good. and sure there are cliques between directors/choreographers and judges, especially if an ex-director of some showchoir is judging their old school. but it happens. and oh well.

Welcome to show choir in the midwest.

Politics or not, the midwest still kicks all the other regions' tails.

haha, yeah... i mean, we pretty much are our region. and we've watched midwest tapes for like three years to get an idea on how to play the game well... i mean, my first year (three years ago) was the first time anyone in new mexico even did a costume change. so i think it's pretty amazing that we've even come this far. we just really need a band... yeah... not having a band kicks your butt...

anyway...
