[She manages to push herself up to sitting up, though her arms are trembling with the effort, and she stares at the angel, with wide eyes and hair everywhere.]

But when Edward says something, Rachel looks over a little too quickly, startled, and she cringes to herself, her hands moving up slowly to cup around her throat and neck, fingers shaking.
What if she lost her voice?]

[She takes a deep, trembling breath, and fixes Edward with a look.]

[Stubborn to the last.]

[It's a hoarse whisper.]

[He nearly falls out of his chair when he realizes that Rachel has come back to life. He lets out a choked sob that is sort of mixed in with a small laugh as tears gather in his eyes.]
Rachel! Take it easy, it might be a little while until you can move properly.

[A hand reaches out to grab his arm painfully tight as Rachel steadies herself in an attempt to push herself up again. She's trembling.]
Blaine, I don't -- I don't want to be --
[And her free hand moves to her throat, and her trembling doubles, because -- ]
-- it hurts --

I'm sorry Rachel, maybe Ms. Unohana can do something about your throat. I can ask her for you, if you'd like.

[She can't quite manage to say 'I died', and she stays upright, swaying gently with the effort.]

[And her tone dips into a whisper as she wraps her hands around her throat, her cold fingers helping soothe the pain -- but her fingers line up with the fingerprints -- and she immediately drops her hands into her lap with a stifled sob, and she looks at the angel, almost pleadingly.]

[Raphael takes a step closer, then another, and presses her fingers very gently to the girl's injured throat. It's easy to suss out the damage, though she doesn't dare attempt healing. Not after what happened to Katara, and the damage that left her screaming.]
You will heal. Speaking out loud is not necessary. [A look.] Angels can lip-read.

[And then, Rachel realizes that Raphael just told her not so speak, so she falls silent abruptly, mouthing the the words instead.]
