I feel demeaned when a boy calls me anything relating to my appearance whether it be your pretty or your hot. (Not that I get these comments a lot.) But the fact of the matter is, I do wish boys would be less shallow and learn to love someone for who they are oppose to what is shown by first glance. Though, beauty, is said to shine from the inside!

And it's not demeaning at all if it comes from the right person. Its not like calling someone pretty or beautiful is something thats just thrown out there (atleast in my opinion). Kinda hypocritical, cause I dont think theres one person in this world that doesn't base another off of looks at somepoint. Even if its in the back of their mind, there is no getting passed it and there should be no shame in it. People are beautiful in different ways, some are blessed with looks, some are blessed with smarts/personality/athleticism/etc... We just sterotype against the first as being shallow sometimes for whatever reason.

PS sorry was pissed off tonight/had a bad night and had to try to set someone straight even though I doubt I did and prolly made an a$$ of my self. Its like passed midnight and im tired yoplaits.

I'm aware of the materialism and vainity this world thrives on, and I would be lieing if I were to say I was absent of this. But I feel it's no longer a compliment and makes me (personally, not making a generalization to every girl out there) feel like some other brod. Beauty is skin deep. When the words describing appearance are lashed around they begin to lose meaning. I'm not denying from the right person it's not demeaning (double negative?) but not every random Joe is the right person.

Well most every average joe is a scum bag so why worry about them when you shouldnt be around them in the first place? People that throw it around are idiots. BUT! I have this one friend that we say 'i love you' like everyday to each other, but we dont mean it besides just being friends and goofin around. So yah, Im an idiot too but wuteva. Personally, and as a guy, i think its a huge compliment to say something like pretty/beautiful to a girl, cause when I say it atleast, I sure as hell mean it.

I just think youre too caught up in the whole women's rights movement deal =p. lol just kiddin, but let becca have her ol' fashion fun.
