a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her. HAHAH WELL let's just be honest, it was the PB. And Liz was using his sister, and had this certain template sort of in place for what a sibling of Laurel's would essentially have to be like, since he'd be Get of Fenris to her Black Fury, which....HOORAY. And metis, so he'd have to have some kind of issue there - I think actually it was the fact that Liz and I were discussing the concept of "Reckless Wrath" and I said something about how John Cusack is not Mr. Emote and she was like "that would be funny, though, just *RAGE* ..... :|"
Except obviously she said it more like Liz and not like 'Jeri needs coffee agh just shut up and make a cup of instant,' but THE POINT IS that is that that conversational thread was the Aha moment, if you will.
b. One of his/her best traits. Hrm. His loyalty, which is fierce and unquenchable and basically endless, even when it should not be. So in retrospect it's not...always ( ... )

[18:30] GatesKeel: "I'd known Stefan not hardly long at all before his twin sister showed up bitesize," Gates reflects.
[18:30] * Candice raises her eyebrows. "Stefan, huh?"
[18:31] * GatesKeel tugs her turtleneck down enough to show one of the almost constantly there bitemarks. "Stefan."
[18:31] Candice: "Gotcha. Not Garion, then." >_> She had to mention, all right.
[18:33] GatesKeel: "Gary who?"
[18:34] Candice: "Garion Eddings. Was her boyfriend. Tall, blond, farmboy, very baffled by us city folk...particularly the women." She shakes her head, remembering. "Going on twenty years ago."
[18:36] * GatesKeel chuckles, in the process of retying her hair. "No, never met him. But I went to school in London."

a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her. HAHA Kay was like "he's trufax creepy" and I was like ...I'll probably like him, then I watched the first episode and ...I did. Although specifically it was probably the robot/alien thing because teenagers DO see things that way, in that kind of duality. Also he does sort of typify the character I seem to enjoy playing anymore, which as Todd put is "tall, male, and snarky." Actually come to think of it, that trend may have STARTED with him, haha. So...there, somewhere to lay your blame.
b. One of his/her best traits. He's incredibly confident, which is sort of difficult as an adolescent, I feel. It's not easy to take all those feelings of like, aloneness and alienation (haha) and make them work for you, but he does that.
c. One of his/her worst traits. Along the same lines he is also ENORMOUSLY ARROGANT, and I think the last couple episodes of the show proved he's also slow to forgive or compromise. See earlier: ( ... )

a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her. Well! Let us see; I first read her canon when I was maaaaybe 16, so wow that's a long time ago. BUT UM. I tend to be attracted to kind of fringe characters, I think because you get less information about them and you must therefore INFER a lot, which is more interesting to me. Also my sister decided she wanted to play in the comm and was batting around characters, one of whom was Nick, so it just made sense. To be honest she's kind of challenging for me (...as you know because my tags take forever) in that she's not verbal, she's very like....visceral; she communicates with her body rather than by talking a lot. Like...me. HAHA yes so in retrospect I would not have thought of her on my own, really!
b. One of his/her best traits. HRM. She doesn't second-guess herself much, which can indeed be a detriment as much as it is a good trait, but it enables her to think quickly in situations where other people ( ... )

Thaaaat is all really interesting, and I agree about fringe characters EVEN THOUGH I... actually play a lot of "main" -ish kind of... well, at least second-stringers? Yes >_>
I AM TAKING THIS RELATIONSHIP TO BAT COUNTRY, FYI - wait crap I can't stop there D:
In conclusion: ducts >:D

b. One of his/her best traits. All versions of Pietro are very, very smart. This is a boon for me, because I like writing smart characters, and it would be weird and pointless for me to say that this is not because I am smart. Some writers, such as William Faulkner for instance can write characters of low intelligence while obviously being quite bright, but I'm not that good.
c. One of his/her worst traits. Beeeeing a giant jerk? :D? Haha okay no, more specifically he is ( ... )
