I've recently been caught up in a few conversations regarding how bad speeding is, and how all speeders should die. Or at least that seems to be their opinion.

My opinion is that speeding is bad, but that almost all our speed limits are set to low, so by breaking the speed limits in Victoria, you're not actually speeding. This is based on the idea ( Read more... )

I get the feeling that giving responsibility back to NSW drivers may be a horrible thing to do

The implication is that putting regulations on the is what makes them jerks in the first place. So it may well be exactly the right thing to do.

I'm amazed though at when I come to an intersection were the lights are flashing amber, that the flow of traffic isn't actualy that bad. Even in fairly heavy traffic it all works pretty well.

the way I see it is that speeding doesn't kill
