Hello from London,

Yes, for those of you who didn't know I was going, I'm in England now! I have lots to tell, so bare with me.

Leaving an Australian Summer Behind
On December 25th at 9pm, Lydia and I checked in to Qantas flight QF29 from Melbourne Tullamarine airport to London Heathrow stopping in Hong Kong...

I'm glad you made it safely. The idea of having to sit still for that long is making my body die in sympathy.

You seem to have built up Lydia's ammunity to cameras. She looks beautiful.

All my love to the both of you.

Oh, and while I remember it (you don't have to look at it anytime soon but I just don't want to forget to show you) http://www.mentalcontagion.com/
It is a webzine that looks pretty interesting.

The flight wasn't THAT bad actualy. It's just long and uncomfortable.

Yes, I'm wearing her down slowly. I've got lots of nice ones on my SLR now.

It sounds like you're having a great time so far :)

Take more photos!

I think I'd hate the long flight as well, but defeating jet lag isn't so bad so long as you're sleep deprived enough from the flight to want to sleep at evening time and then get out and get as much light as you can the next morning ^_^

It's funny though - you left in the middle of an Australian summer, sure... But you went from cold and snow to cold anyways. Weather is weird!

Yeah true, but it's not actually snowing here. I think wearing shorts almost all the time while over there helped lessen the shock.

I've taken heaps of shots with my SLR, but I wont be able to get them up for a while. I may even be back home before they are uploaded.

Maybe a travel pillow would help. I sleep in the train regularly and always think a pillow would help. Hmm, is sleeping on a plane anything like sleeping on a train? Then I would be the plane-sleeping maestro! Wow, and you wouldn't even have to worry about missing your stop!

They give you pillows. It's not much help.
