How do- hold on, we can't start this without the proper music! Please open your playlist, put it on random and link us (youtube, lyrics, download) to the first song that comes up. Tell us something about this song, for example if it would make a good theme song for you and why or why not. This is the song I'm currently listening to:
Black Label Society-Bored To Tears. It's heavy, has brutal bass, and is made of pure sex (Give it some time to kick in). I love this song, my best friend sent it to me because he knows me too well and knew I'd love it. This would be a great theme song for me just based on what it sounds like, but the lyrics could apply as well.
Read them here. I'm generally bored/unhappy with my life and look for new thrills and things to do to entertain me or keep me happy, and that's the basic idea behind the song.
Then again, maybe we should put the randomness aside and let you pick your own song. So... if protagonist!you went exploring your house/apartment/tent under a bridge, which song would we hear in the background? Let's go for something a little bit more sad, as I imagine my room would of probably transformed as most things are in the Silent Hill world.
Nine Inch Nails-And All That Could Have BeenIt would probably look like I hadn't been there for a REALLY long time, or all of the faces would be gone off of the posters or something like that. This song always makes me think of slow-motion rainfall or dust stirring.
And since we're already in your room, can you maybe tell us a bit about it? You know, how it looks and which items of great foreshadowing significance we may find in it? I have tons of posters up, mostly band/music or Owen Wilson related with the occasional splash of Resident Evil and Tyler Durden. Queen bed with lots of blankets & pillows, big TV, action figures...nothing all that spectacular.
Alright, back on topic! How do you react if you witness somebody treating somebody else badly, be it through physical or verbal abuse? Depends on the victim, but overall I don't like it when someone is being unjustifiably abused. When it comes to children, there's a thin line between discipline and abuse but I doubt I'd stick my nose in where it doesn't belong if I don't know the guilty party. Ignorant hate tends to get under my skin a little bit more, people who attack others simply because they don't believe what they believe in or love someone of a different gender than they do...I can't stand that, and would probably speak up about it. But it just depends on the setting too, and how the "victim" is handling themselves.
How do you prefer others to react when you're being treated badly, either physically or verbally? I usually don't want any help, I'm stubborn and don't like the help of others unless I really need it.
Say, do you have any brothers or sisters? If so, fancy telling us a bit about your relationship? I'm an only child, though I always wished I had an older brother for perverted reasons.
And children? How do you / do you think you'd act as a parent? No children. I have a repulsive fear of babies and I don't know how to treat children, I didn't even know how to communicate with them when I WAS one. I always got along better with people who were older than me when I was growing up. I guess if I met the right person I would consider having a child, but the idea of one feeding off of me for 9 months and then ripping out of me like a alien...just screws me up. *shudder*
= not going that way =
When approached by a stranger, do you act...
quiet or talkative? Depends on the stranger, if there's a connection and I can flirt a little bit I tend to be more comfortable, however, my general nature is to be a bit quiet.
friendly or cold? I usually seem cold/unapproachable in the way that I present myself, though I'm actually pretty easy to get along with.
open or avoidant? Avoidant. In general, the public has a fairly high chance of irritating me and I tend to keep myself close-guarded. But don't think that I'm a shut-in, I still do plenty of public activities (lots of concerts, the fair, zoo...etc).
confident or insecure? Confident. It's part of my cold/unapproachable quality, and I don't know how to be any way else.
Quotes here! Please tell us if you agree or disagree with them and why that is.
Blood is thicker than water. The idea behind that is that family is stronger than any other bond, correct? If that's the case, then I think it's just a matter of circumstance depending on what your family is like and how close you are to your friends. From a scientific point of view, blood is heavier than water, that's for sure.
The way to see by faith is to shut the eye of reason. I mostly agree with this one. Our pathetic human brains can't even begin to comprehend everything in the universe, and if we try our faith diminishes.
Active evil is better than passive good. Overall, yes. You can't be lukewarm (if we're talking from a Christian point of view, at least) as it's just as bad (or maybe worse) than being pure evil. At least you can enjoy yourself if you completely give in to the evil side rather than flip-flopping between the two. Not that I'm recommending evil or anything.
Alcohol is the anesthesia by which we endure the operation of life. No. I'm straight-edge. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs and I don't think you need any of those things to "tolerate" life, it's only the weak and cowardice that need them.
Either you deal with what is the reality, or you can be sure that the reality is going to deal with you. I'm a dreamer, I keep my head in the clouds with one fist wrapped around reality and I think that's a good way to be. Don't be too serious, but don't let the important things slip by you.
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Sure, that sounds fair enough, though it depends on the situation.
You're either part of the solution or part of the problem. EEW I hate that, it's a very "corporate" way of thinking so I automatically reject that phrase.

Say we forget about the monsters and the murder, does a small and tight-knit community like Shepherd's Glen sound like a place you'd enjoy living in? No. I don't like the idea of everyone knowing everybody else, with all the gossip and the noses shoved in other peoples business.
Say we pay attention to the monsters and the murder, would you be willing to play your part in the 'sacrifice one of your children to the Gods' game? Most likely not, though you'd be surprised what you'll do when you know what sort of terror you're faced with. I think I'd be more likely to just accept the coming wrath and deal with it that way.
Decision time! Tell us about your in-game choices, that is to say shooting your mother, forgiving your father and saving Wheeler. What did and didn't you do, how did you decide and how long did it take you? I let my mother suffer, didn't forgive my father (I really had a soft spot for Alex and felt he deserved a little bit of retribution for what he had gone through because of them) and it took me a moment to figure out if I should save Wheeler or not. I was just confused if that would a mercy killing or prolonging death, but in the end I saved him.
Alright, can you perhaps imagine how those scenarios would look if they were real? As to say, "Would I make those same decisions in real life?" No, I would probably forgive my father. As far as mother goes, I don't think I'd be able to pull that trigger (I'd try to stop the machine instead). But I'd still save Wheeler.
By the way, one of your parents killed you. That wasn't a very nice thing to do, so let's confront them about it! Which symbolically significant object would remind them of their shameful deed? I always wear this leather wristcuff that I bought a few years ago in Canada, that would be a good reminder. Especially if I was buried (or whatever) with it, and it just randomly shows up in the house from time to time.
Hey, I've got an idea! Let's turn into a monster, that'll teach them! So how would your tormented spirit look as a creature from Silent Hill? I like the lust idea behind the nurses and the way that's portrayed with the covered-up (or messed up) faces, but somewhat untouched bodies. I'd probably be something similar to that, with a different clothing scheme and maybe an over-exaggerated wound from the way I was killed.
And what would be its theme music?
Juno Reactor-Conga Fury = the sacred line =
Do you like taking pictures? Love it! I'm actually doing a project where I take a photo every day, I'm on day 515!
My ShutterCal.
Please post a picture you've taken here and tell us something about it. If you don't take any pictures at all, just find us a random picture you enjoy.
I took this guys photo at A-Kon 20 in Dallas :D
How could I not? It's not every day you see something like this! He kills me from the cute. You really should question my sanity at this point, I forgot I was filling out a Silent Hill application =P
Apparently Silent Hill has a sidekick feature now. Well then, dear protagonist, who would you want as your Silent Hill Homecoming sidekick? Note that you may choose a person from your own life, somebody famous or a fictional character, even from the SH series itself. I usually choose
Kevin Ryman for my partner. He can shoot, kick and throw sarcastic lines at his enemies :D
Do you even want to be the protagonist or would you rather play sidekick? It would eat me up inside being a "sidekick" it sounds so...worthless and dirty.
What was your least favourite Silent Hill Homecoming ending? Either the "Happy" one or the "UFO" one. It may amuse some people when endings are all flowery and retarded with hugs, or dogs with UFOs, but I'd rather have one more relevant to the story.
And to make up for it, what was your favourite alternative costume? Either "Young" Alex (look at those arms!) or "ER" Alex (blood!)
Well, that's pretty much the end of it. As usual, please tell us which one Silent Hill Homecoming character you consider yourself least like and why that is. Judge Holloway *snarl* I didn't trust/like her from the start. She's uppity and self-righteous, really just not fun to be around.
Anything else you'd like to add? Nah.
