When I heard "passionate" and "intelligent", being in-between a leader and a follower, and a lot of your either ors, I thought of Father Vincent from SH3. I personally think he isn't physically repulsive, he can also be quite deep when he speaks, and tries to come off as a polite gentlemen, even though Heather notices he seems to have a few screws loose. But hey, you lke insane, so it's all good.

Originally, Henry was one of the first to come to mind, but he seems neither perverted or insane. You also said he was the one character you couldn't really imagine a relationship with because he's uninteresting. I started to consider James until I read your answers to the terminal illness questions... In the end, I think the above commenter really hit the nail on the head by going with Father Vincent. He's definitely not conventional or mundane, and I don't find him to be physically repulsive either.

He fits best with your this/that answers and your desire to have someone who would stick it out with you even if the odds are against you and someone who would stay calm if you were to have an outburst. I can also see him enjoying some of your specifications on what a first date would be like-- especially the insightful conversations and whatnot.

I'm going to have to be a sheep here, and say Father Vincent as well. What sealed the deal for me were nearly all the answers you put under the 'Gold Pipe or Silver Pipe' section. Including, but not limited to the answers, 'He can't be a leader or follower' (paraphrased) 'he should be more insane than sane' (paraphrased) and Vincent does seem to sort of perverted.

Initially, I very much thought Henry, because of the initially-guarded-but-then-relaxed answer, as well as the ideal date being of the "chill out, do some art, relax" variety. But the app made it pretty clear that that would NOT be a match made in heaven, so, weirdly, I actually thought of Travis Grady.

He's not incredibly sophisticated, but as a general rule, he seems to hold a lot of chivalrous principals and place a lot of value on being polite and respectful. Plus, the fact that he gets upset about the deaths of animals points to a sensitive nature, which seems important to you.

OK, so Harry Mason isn't exactly insane or a pervert, but I really think he fits everything else more than other male characters do. He's passionate and sensitive, and he's a writer! WHOOO And he's generally a cool dude.

And he's not repulsive, is he? It's hard to tell with those AWESOME PS1 GRAPHIX
