[ It has been a quiet and fairly lazy week for Aether. One of the recent conversations had once again made him realize how much he doesn't know about the most simple things - things like holidays and special dates or occasions - and so he decided to spend some time in the library, shuffling through books in order to gain some knowledge

[ ... okay, even with the other really strange sights Luceti has to offer right now, this one may just take the cake. for the moment, at least.

why is this strange crazy purple man hacking at a pumpkin with a large ax.

Xion can't help but pause along her way, literally just standing there and staring at him, head tilted. not that the bunny girl can talk about strange outfits, but hey, she doesn't have a battle ax or a pumpkin-y victim. ]

In his defense, he isn't half-bad at it, although the angle under which he holds that ax might make one wonder if he cannot feel the weight at all. His motions are slow, but precise enough to assume he has a sort of idea for how it's supposed to turn out...

One he could probably focus on better before he ended up getting stared at.

He stops right as he presses the blade to the pumpkin again, having noticed Xion at that precise moment. His body leans back a bit as he straightens up, his attention now focused completely on her. He's silent so far, but he seems to be saying something like...

Why are you staring, you cosplayer? :| ]

Carving.

[ He moves the ax away so he can raise the pumpkin a bit, only to turn it with the carved side toward Xion. The once shoddy face has since given way to an outline of a flying dragon. ]

It was pretty shoddy before, so I decided to fix it.

[ He says absolutely nothing about her ridiculous state of dress. ]

[Terra is definitely out and about in the afternoon, inspecting the town with great interest. She hasn't escaped the Costume Police either, now somewhat resembling a moogle-like human. That hasn't traumatized her in the least, even when she discovered that it can't be removed for long. Oh, well. She doesn't mind.

Upon passing through the town square, Terra raises an eyebrow as she reaches the fountain. There's a moment of curious observation before she asks the inevitable.]

...pumpkin-carving? I thought that was done for us.

I didn't like how this one turned out.

[ Well, at least his voice is still the exact same... as similar to several inhabitants of Luceti as it is.

He raises the pumpkin up and gives it a curious look, only to shift his attention to Terra. ]

... You really like those things, huh? Moogles, that is.

[Terra nods, though she's quick to explain.]

I didn't design this outfit, though. I just stepped outside and suddenly I was dressed this way.

[She looks over his costume curiously.]

That happened to you, too, right?

In my case, it happened as I was exiting the library...

[ Rather than explain how he came to spend all night in the library, he's quick to change the subject. ]

Except I don't know what I'm supposed to be.
