What kind of movies do you enjoy watching?

I enjoy watching movies.Period. Romantic movies, action movies, comedy, drama, animated movies, Bollywood/Hollywood or any other 'woods' - I love them all! Probably the only kind of movies I may steer away from are South Indian movies as I don't like the way some of them are filmed. It is too garish for my taste. But still, if any movie, be it in any language (haven't watched too many foreign language movies!) manages to capture my attention from the first frame I will watch it. Oh, the number of movies I have watched halfway through while surfing channels and just because they captured my attention! BTW, I think movie-making is such a wonderful medium and a big one at that! It is like this big, blank canvas waiting for a story to unfold and there are so many ways to tell that story!

Are you a good listener? If my listening skills are judged on the basis of how long my friendships have lasted then I think I am a good listener. I say this because two of my friends have been friends for ( ... )

I am glad you enjoy cinema so joyously. That's the way it ought to be. I never understood or care for pseudo or cynical point of views. :-)

I think you are patient, sensible and someone with restraint. I find that very graceful and beautiful about you. Therein lies your sensitivity and my belief that you are a good listener.

What are your thoughts about living by oneself? Alone in a city, that is.

Living away from home (whether alone or not!) is in itself difficult. Living alone has its pros and cons.

Pros: You can have a long, leisurely bath for as long as you want. ;)
You have exclusive access to all your possessions. There is nobody who will grab and run away with them.
No need to adjust to girls who can be quite a b***h at times.
My conversations on phone have no chance of being overheard. ;):D
My parents/in-laws/husband can visit/live with me whenever they are in town.

Cons: Loneliness can be a problem at times.
Nobody to look after me,if I fall sick.
All of my chores I will have to do alone because there is nobody else to do them.

I think if you are mentally ready to live alone in a city and face the problems/situations that come with it then besides the initial difficulties in adjusting to a new city,I don't it is too much of a problem.

I used to love MLTR(Someday etc) - I've never seen their albums here!!
Ok, onto the questions...sorry, I'm being greedy about them!!!
1) Any one cause that you are very passionate about? 2)Your dream job?(if you could be anything you wanted!!)

About MLTR, I had not listened to their music much before but I have a CD gifted to me by my husband and this CD has around 125 romantic songs, hence this song and needless to say, I love MLTR now. :D

And now, allow me to blabber... ;)

1) Any one cause that you are very passionate about? There are times when I am so bugged by the problems in India and after thinking a lot about how these problems can be solved, I have come to the conclusion that education is the only answer. In my opinion, education empowers people to make the right or wrong choices. They may not always make the right choice but atleast they will be aware about the repurcussions of their (wrong) choice. Someday, I hope to do something in this field of education, especially for kids in villages. But, to be honest, there are a lot of things that I want to set right or atleast try, how or when I will do it, I don't know, but one thing is sure, simply donating money and telling myself that I did a good thing is not what makes me happy. I want to see that money ( ... )

Cool, I really like your answers - education is a good thing to be passionate about and I share your sentiments wholeheartedly! I'd love to take time out and work with either children or women in rural areas!!Maybe one day in the future when we're more settled we can do that together!
A clown:))!! But my dear girl you are a creative soul and in that sense you're a part of all those roles already!!!!

Ok here goes..
(I think I find a lot of similarities between us, and want to confirm the same ;-))

1)How would you describe yourself ?
(an extrovert, an introvert, shy etc.)
2)Do you make friends easily?
3)Do you daydream often? Does your vivid imagination prove to be detrimental at times?

1)How would you describe yourself?

There was a time when I was a complete introvert but now I lean slightly more towards being ambivert.

2)Do you make friends easily?

No, not at all. That is because I can't talk to people I meet for the first time easily and I am not much of a talker unless and until I get to know a person really well. But listening comes far more easily to me than talking. :)

3)Do you daydream often? Does your vivid imagination prove to be
detrimental at times?

Oh, yes! When the reality is too harsh or the lectures are too boring, I often slip into daydreaming. It is like this cocoon where everything is nice and wonderful. :)

My imagination can prove to be detrimental when I have to get back to reality from my dream world and it can be very difficult to do so, or there are times when I wake up from a strange dream and that dream is so vivid and clear in my mind that I can't let go off it.

So, are there any similarities between us? :D

1) and 2) - totally
3) - to some extent. My imagination is more detrimental than beneficial. I am more prone to painting reality in much more harsh overtones than it actually is. Am improving though :P

However, on reading your other responses, I can almost see myself answering in the same fashion :D
Eerie :)
