I just bricked my pda. Screwed up a rom update and now my computer won't even recognize it nor will the pda turn on.

It's my own damn fault of course and the thing is well out of warranty.

Will the computer recognize that it's attacked to some device? If so, then perhaps a users group can help. My PDA was long ago quite abandoned by its producer, but there is an active user group who did a considerable amount of research into its internals.

Alas, no. The general consensus from the user forums appears to be that I can pay someone more than the value of the item to have it repaired and that's about it.
