“Bu-bu-but p-p-per…p-p-p…p-p-e-r…”
Jaejoong rolls his eyes as he watches Yunho gape open-mouthed at his mother.
“Yes, period. You can say it, Yunho. Stop making those hideous whale noises, it’s unbecoming.” the older woman sighs, leaning her head against the table and looking at Jaejoong, “I never thought I’d have to give my son a lecture on menstruation.”
“B-bu-but she’s twelve!” Yunho squeaks.
“I got mine when I was eleven, Love. It ‘s common to get it around that age.”
Jaejoong coughs uncomfortably before glancing up at Jiyul who stares open-mouthed and mortified at her father.
“She’s a baby,” Yunho hisses under his breath, “P-p-per-menstruating means boys, boys mean dating, dating means getting married, getting married means sex-“
“Actually...” Jaejoong pipes in sheepishly, “marrying doesn’t always equate to sex, baby, remember the time we had-“
“Stop. Talking.” The older of the two yelps, placing his gorgeous fingers against the other’s lips, “Like I was saying- MARRYING means sex and sex means babies and my baby is too much of a baby to have babies and I will not let this happen!! Can we just turn her into a boy or buy her a gun?-”
“DAD!” Jiyul finally screams, “YOU’RE BEING EMBARASSING!”
“But Jiyul-ah…” Yunho whimpers pathetically grabbing hold of his daughter and pulling her close, “you’re still too young to be growing up.”
“No, you’re acting so stupid. Every girl goes through this, Daddy. SooJinnie got hers a year ago and she’s fine. You’re over-reacting! I can’t believe you had to call Grandma home to give YOU advice on menstruation. GOD!!” she exclaims, sounding every bit the pre-teen that she is.
“B-but-“
“NO, old man. Now let poor Grandma go home already and GET BACK TO YOUR OWN WORK!”
“O-old m-man?”
Jaejoong stifles a laugh behind his palm before leaning over and whispering into his husband’s ear, “Hormones~”
“Daddy, are you listening to me?!!”
“Y-yes, sweetheart, of course, no more over-reacting.”
“Good! I’m going out with Soojin now. Her mom’s taking us for a movie. I’ll be home by four.” With that she pecked her Grandma and both her parents on the cheek before running up to her room to get changed.
“It’s started...” Yunho whispers under his breath, turning miserably towards his husband.
“What has?”
“Hell.”
Jaejoong laughs.
