I generally feel the same about chains, but it's really funny how some chains just 'do it right.' Like, baltimore has a little italy, but generally the italian food at Macaroni Grill is tastier and better prepared for less money.

although most chains did start out as local/regional restaurants and expanded nationally, usually for a good reason. not everything starts off as a Fridays/Applebys/RubyTuesday ;D
