Eyes open in a dark room.
The ceiling doesn't look so near,
cascaded by the stagnance/ stillness of a time I endearingly
refer to as sleeplessness.

Eyes, tired, sometimes morning comes too soon;
creeping up over city heights.  Another poor night's rest,
Morning light reflects my waning mirror image.
