wooo...it's been a while since i wrote that. i rarely get to livejournal over here. but german is coming along really well...learning a new language is like being a little kid and is real fun.

and communism was and is TERRIBLE. if you give a government that much power, you can never assume that they will use it only for good purposes. i have friends from prague whose parents were investigated by the police for reading national geographic magazines, and grandparents who slaved away for years in gulags just because of the village they lived in. read anything that orwell wrote after 1936 and you'll be convinced. sorry if it sounds like i'm trying to get into an argument...i've been rereading 1984 and it kind of gets my blood moving.

yeah but i understand what you mean, but i mean the ORIGINAL idea behind communism wasnt to give the government so much power, it was to give power equally amoung everyone...but it became a horrible concept ...ughh sometimes humanity bugs me...then i just have to look at the upside of what we can do too and hope that we can do more good than bad..turn things aroundandupsidedown....anyways

Communism as it was practiced in Russia under Lenin was a perverted version of Marxist Communism. The two are so different that there is often a distinction between Marx's original ideal and Communism as it was practiced in Russia. However, that would be incorrect, because Marxism is technically Communism. I think it would be more correct, to distinguish that Leninistic or rather, Stalinistic Communism puts too much power in the hand of the government while trying to maintain a Structuralist Economy. It just doesn't work
