Why? It hurt your feelings? What's wrong in getting beaten up? I got beaten up as a kid and I am thankful that my parents made me work for what I got, made me wrestle with my dreams, and, that is exactly why I am not a bum like most kids who grew up with me in the same neighborhood.

Your pity is wasted. You sympathize with something I do not consider as a grief or misery. And, it was not the only motivation that I had.

Understand that I do not mean that parents who beat up their kids on every single small failure are doing a great job. But, that a kid should be taught to be responsible of his actions.

Todays youth were once kids. And those kids have grown up observing the environment. They filled their empty minds watching the elders. They never born with "set mind" for what they are today.

I know the day is not very far to be elder. So again there are going to be kids growing up watching the elders....
