rabbit1080 and I had a flying visit over east last weekend for my brother Matthew's wedding. He and Tess will be moving to Perth in a few months, and her family's mostly in NSW, so I can understand them having the ceremony over there ( Read more... )

The funniest thing on that map is a suburb/area called Kangy Angy. Just makes me think of an angsty Skippy, lol.

Hah! I missed that when I was navigating. It does indeed sound like something out of a bad kids' TV show.

I was amused the other day after someone linked to this story about an outback town offering dollar-a-week homes to attract more people - I noticed you have to drive through Bogan Gate to get there..

I REALLY wanted to come to the museum with you, but that was a hangover that just wouldn't quit. Still had to move the last of my stuff to the new home as well.

Nice to see you both though :)

Good to see you too :)

Glad to hear you had a good time over here, does Artefact H10515 remind you of a Shoggoth too? :)
Sorry I didn't make it on Sunday. My "It'll only take a few hours" plan for moving turned out to be utter bollocks and wound up taking the best part of several days.
I'm hoping to get over to Perth in the next 12 months (yes, I say that every year) and will let you know if I manage it.

A blind one perhaps - I don't recall it producing any eyes while I was there.

Ah yes, moving can be like that. It took us about three weeks to prepare for a home open, most of which was decluttering and replacing the stove. "Surely it'll only take half a week to tidy up the house and courtyard enough for photos!"

I'd love to catch up if you make it west :)
